1.What is Meditation

meditate | ˈmedəˌtāt | verb [no object] think deeply or focus one's mind for a period of time for religious or spiritual purposes or as a method of relaxation.New Oxford American Dictionary.

2.Why should we Meditate

Stay focused on Jesus and His Word:
Jesus is everything to us as believers: He is our Savior, our King, our God, our everything. But how can we say that if He is not our main focus?
John 10:27 (KJV) My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Hebrews 12:2 says Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith
2. To keep our mind pure:
Romans 12:2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,Whose mind is stayed on thee: Because he trusteth in thee.
If We Are Focused On His Word It will Help Keeps us from falling into the snare of the enemy.
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.
Romans 8:6 (KJV) For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.
Carnally means fleshly. Humanly

3.How should we Meditate

take one or two verses, I like one verse, and spend time daily on that verse:
Read it once thru then read it each time emphasizing One word higher than the rest.
When should we Meditate
1.always:
Psalms 119:97 (KJV) MEM. O how love I thy law! it [is] my meditation all the day.
As Christians we need to dedicate the first of our mourning to Christ. A great way to start your mourning is to meditate on His holy Word.
Psalms 63:1 (KJV) [[A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.]] O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee:
Another very important time to meditate Is at night. It is a great time to focus on God and rest in His presence to be prepared for the next day
Psalms 63:6 (KJV) When I remember thee upon my bed, [and] meditate on thee in the [night] watches.
Isaiah 26:9 (KJV) With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early:
2.When we are Meditating on Gods Word daily we are planting seeds in our hearts
Galatians 6:7 (KJV) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
