Job finally moves from sadness to anger and ambition

Zophar
Zophar
God exacts of you less than you deserve
he argues that Job has gotten off easy for clearly his sin is great and he just doesn’t know what he is talking about
argues after that similarly to the friends before this
Job’s questions for God
Job’s questions for God
he knows knows that God is in control and almighty
he believes the idea behind what all of his friends have said
but he isn’t an idiot, he’s just sad and he wants to understand from the one who knows all things
Job also finally gets angry with his friends’ attitudes
he claims he will make his case before God and hopes to finally have all of his questions answered
is he really guilty and of what, why does this happen and why is life so fleeting?
is this all his sin being held against him like a man on trial?
despite all of this and despite carrying on, Job still believes that even if God has done this harm to him, God will redeem him
Application
Application
what good does your judgement of a another person do?
how much would you say that you know about the reason why God does what he does?
we can all know the most important things
we have looked at all of the story
can I make grace any shorter or farther? are those my decisions to make?
arguing about what we can’t understand is never productive
speak the truth in love and nothing else
