Now I am not necessarily talking about those who are out to get us or destroy us. Instead I am talking about those who we disagree with.
We all deal with many pressures.

Daily live is filled with pressures. Sometimes it may seem like we are living in a pressure cooker.
We ask: who is in and who is out?

This is a natural question and in a very changing world is a helpful question. Politically on both sides of the spectrum there are becoming increasingly common the idea of a “purity” test. One of the stains of the reformation was people who agreed on the the overwhelming majority of issues cast one another as heretics or incomplete.
Jesus transforms all things.

This is the hope of the good news.
Jesus is continually issuing the call to follow Him.

The call to follow Jesus is not just relegated to the 12. Though in calling the 12 he is bringing to life a new “kingdom community.
Following Jesus is about being with Him & going out.

Notice the purpose of the call. We are to spend time with him but then we are to go out and preach and heal people. Not healing as we normally think about but redeeming people from the strong man of Satan himself.
The Kingdom transcends ‘normal’ relationships.

The kingdom of God transformed, transcended and reformed what it mean to be in community. This is part of what Jesus is saying when he stapes verse 34 & 35.

The unpardonable sin is one where we continually attribute Jesus’ work to the work of Satan.

When we get to this point we no longer see the need to be forgiven. If we do not need to be well we will not seek help.
