9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

There are two common types of Church growth:

I don’t think we can have real numerical growth before we have spiritual growth.
Spiritual gifts encourage your brothers and sisters in the body of Christ.
12 Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel.

We talked about natural gifts a few weeks ago when we talk about the need to work.
many of the prophets of the old testament where farmers, the Lord gifted those great men to farm and speak thus sayeth the Lord.
sometimes those gifts are parallel but they don’t have to be.
we need to understand that the God that created the universe does what he wants… its called sovereignty, He can do that in my life and He can do that in yours.
The point of all of this is that since He is sovereign He has a plan for everything you have going on.
many of us get discouraged from time to time because while we have heard over and over “God has a plan” its hard to believe.
Please stay with me. Don’t get super spiritual with me. don't leave me, don’t close off.
we all get discouraged by life. We all have been discouraged when God doesn't do what we thought He should do.
if you find yourself here God is not mad at you ! Guilt does not come from the Lord, conviction does. Guilt leads to shame, conviction leads to change.
the change we are talking about here is VICTORY! Victory leads to freedom.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
we have all been there!
we talk to the Lord , He affirms us.

God gave you gifts and he Gave you a place to use them in.
your gifts are an answer to someones prayers.
