Of the Lord is it not a man? It is a beautiful sunshiny day outside. Turn your neighbor telling how great they look today, how fantastic it is that you guys are here.

Amen, amen. Good to be in the house of the Lord. You may be seated.

Thankful. To be here, you know, just when you think spring is here, it's knows a little bit and then it's going to be 50 some degrees again this week and you know, like let's just all get sick again. This this bronchitis. This is all happen changing going back and forth. Pastor started a new series that they're teaching this got some people that are in the back here in our welcome home class with our new members class were excited for that opportunity. We're going to be continuing in on our bread of life series talking about the deity of Jesus Christ and how he has all authority over everything. We've established the fact that he's got a 40 over the body. We saw it when he healed the paralyzed man at the pool of Bethesda. And then last week we saw him the fishes and Loaves Miracle the same hands that reached into the dirt and created Adam out of dirt where the same hands that were used to multiply the fishes and the loaves to hand to the disciples as they fed to the crowd of 15,000 this week. We will talk about God has all control over the wind and the waves. We sometimes Overlook the authority of God when we pray and say Lord help us. We're not just praying to God. We're not just prince. We're praying for the one who created us into existence. The one that controls the wind and the wave the one that spoke the earth into existence. The one that spread the Stars across the sky all authority in all Universe. He hears our prayers. He hears our voice when we call on him when we need him the most so as we open our scripture,

John 6

it says and when even was now come his disciples went down onto the sea and entered into a ship and went over the sea towards capernium. And it was now dark and Jesus was not come to them and the Sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew and when they wrote about Five and Twenty or Thirty furlongs. They see Jesus walking on the sea drawing nigh onto the ship and they were afraid. But he said unto them. It is I be not. Afraid I keep on reiterating this in many different lessons that we've taught. God doesn't have to go into depth to explain something. Doesn't take a big moment of orator genius to bring peace or Comfort. He said peace be still he said pick up your bed and walk and he says it is I Be not Afraid God is greater than any storm in your life.

God is greater than any tragedy God's greater than any sickness God's greater than any division God's greater than any adversary God's greater than any addiction God's greater than any Brokenness God's greater than any depression got bring greater than any Bill. Greater than any prognosis. God is greater than anything that you may come against in your life. but for us we need to seek God to be with us at all times. See, it's really easy sister Barb. To worship and keep your eyes fixated on him when everything is going well. When the bills are paid when the kids are healthy when you got a roof over your head when you got a belly full of food is real easy to be like God is good. Let me tell you how good my God is it's another story. When your child in the hospital? When your marriage is on the rocks? When you have a a child who's turned away from the Lord and is it is battling addiction when you have a loved one who has died immediately in a suddenly with no explanation and just leave you in a complete moment of voice. It is really hard in that point in time to keep your eyes on him to be like, thank you Jesus. Oh God, you are good. Thanks for breaking me. quite that's not how we normally react. Instead of thanks for breaking me. It's usually why have you forsaken me?

Look these judgment. I don't need them. You can just say a man. It's all it's all right, we're all look. We're all human.

I want to look crowd participation and I'm trying to keep you awake. I'm worried about some of your heart rates falling off and just falling over look if you've ever felt like the Lord's forsaken you raise your hand.

Look around the room.

Did God forsake us know what did we do if you're real honest? Take the words of Michael Jackson. I'm starting with the man in the mirror and look at yourself. What is you doing that moment?

You probably took your eyes off of him. You probably took your eyes off the one who supplies the miracle. And you had your eyes on the problem that was fixated in front of you and you can't see The Miracle Worker coming because you're too busy and too fixated on the problem in front of you.

I love the rattles. I know that I'm right. I know that it is, how can I preach and teach this confident because I've done it.

Because I have made these mistakes of taking my eyes off of God because I'm so wrapped up in my problem. And I'm so consumed with the storm that range is around me. I forget that God calms the Seas with just a simple peace be still.

Don't forget that God can do it. I just forget.

See if you go on.

All right, and what anybody ever I know Marcus is not here Marcus is our scuba diver. People have ever went snorkeling or scuba diving. Few people how many people have ever liked snorkeling or scuba Don a a shipwreck?

Awesome only one, so I was in Nevis. Would you a little teeny tiny island off of Saint Kitts in the Caribbean and I was down there for a a wedding and we went snorkeling we went swimming in the water is I mean, it's textbook folks. It's that 40 ft deep Crystal Clear can see the bottom so you can see the shark come up on you. I mean, there's no fear or no nothing. It's Crystal Clear and a a ship had got caught in a hurricane and had come untethered and then ended up getting crash up against the rocks and IT Park to sleep with something. It wasn't all the way down. The tip was still up above water cuz the water wasn't that deep and they they just left the ship and they become basically a coral reef a place where scuba divers snorkel is Go Fish wherever you are. One of the coolest things that I've ever seen people are consumed by shipwrecks the possibility. There's always the story of the Spanish Armada that sank that has billions of dollars worth of gold and diamonds and it still has not been found. You know how great it would be to find that the shipwrecks form stuff of Legend. What are the most well-known and well-researched shipwrecks come from the largest cargo ship to ever grace the Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Edmund Fitzgerald years would go back and forth on the Great Lakes in some photos. It would appear if you can pop it up for me that it would even look as if it were two ships how large that it was. It said it was considered to be an all star ship it made 748 round trips as it in its 17-year career. It was built to haul iron ore. From Wisconsin to Detroit but something happened on November 10th 1975 that experts cannot explain still to this day Lake Superior turn from a friend to a pho and turn on that ship hurricane-force winds beat upon that thirty thousand ton freighter that you see before you the turning away is toasted and around like a ball and it's Captain Captain McSorley radioed for help to a nearby freighter and said I have a bad list and I've lost both Radars see the Edmund Fitzgerald was only about 17 miles from the shore on a calm day. It would have taken maybe a little less than an hour to get there. But this day was not a calm day. This day everything had broken loose. As George Costanza would say the sea was angry my friends. The lake was angry that day by the end of the day Lake Superior and claimed the lives of all 29 crewman of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

that day The Shipwreck it is so story that inspired a song by Gordon Lightfoot The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Shipwrecks form this stuff of Legend because even the most seafaring Sailors can find themselves in grave Danger. They can find themselves in storms that they've never experienced before too many people have ever watched The Deadliest Catch. I love the Deadliest Catch You couldn't pay me enough money to do that these guys, you know, it's a little windy today the ships going first of all, most of us can't fathom 40 foot seas because we've never seen it for ourselves. You don't like we if anyone has ever been to Lake Michigan on a blistering day. You might see some six or seven foot waves. Are a few years ago. I was youth pastor and we went up to Lake Michigan on a Sunday afternoon. And it was pretty wavy. It was pretty wavy and it had a red flag and I said don't get in the water. What are you students? Do they got in the water? And I'm like, oh, it's all right. There is are not that far out there and the waves were so large that they would come in and they would stand with their backs to the ways that they would jump in the wave would break over their heads and it was just it was impressive and Landon hunt was out there and he was only an eighth or ninth grade at the time and Liz and I were standing on the shoreline and I said Liz I think something going on with Landon. I think he might be in trouble and I literally started to take my wallet out of my pocket and start to give them my keys and

When is in trouble next thing? I know Kyle Kilgore in the back of sound booth over here, it goes and grabs a hold of Landon and and Josh was trying to help a child's a better swimmer than what Joshua said was the next thing. I know they're pulling Landing in and for who-knows-how-long Landon had the Rip Tide had got a hold of Landon and it was pulling in and out and landed couldn't swim and it was literally driving me and Kyle saved his life and the way that his mom tells the story. It was 3 days that he didn't talk. Didn't talk for 3 days. Astrid It scared him so bad. We knew it scared him. He didn't talk in the car. He was just zoned out. I don't think we grasped how bad is why do I? What's the sea gets angry? You have no control. It doesn't matter how well-trained you are. It doesn't matter how many storms you've been through when the wind starts to blow in the wave starts to crash against you you are at the mercy of the sea. see the disciples had Come to an end of a miracle Field Day. Jesus had fed that entire crowd with a Lunchable, you know, the kids little packed lunch. It was amazing. They saw a miracle take place and then he fed their souls and he preached to them and that's the crowd became Restless beef and they were ready for a messiah. They were ready to Crown Jesus the king they were ready to hand everything over to him. But Jesus knew that wasn't what was supposed to be and he slips out of the crowd and heads to the mountain before they can crown him King and he sends his disciples into a boat to sail on the other side of the sea and he would meet up with him later. Now it never says how they would meet up together or where they're supposed to go in the Sea of Galilee is only about 8 miles wide and it's long and it's 13 Mile long, but that's not that big. It's a pretty good. I mean, it's it's a it's a big leg. Don't get me wrong. It's the second largest lake in Israel, but it is not a huge. It's not Lake Michigan size and it never says that he didn't leave anybody behind to go with him to Egypt. You don't know if you had a boat booked. When you look at what we know was getting ready to happen he knew how he was going to get across to the other side. He knew what he was going to do to get to the other side and as they sailed he was up in the mountain praying. The sun was setting the Moon is being in the night was perfect. It was another call night to across the sea see the disciples knew a little bit about sailing about boating a handful of them were fishermen and they maybe even fished on the Sea of Galilee so they were rowing along with no worry in the world a time. They get to the middle of the lake there halfway there. Maybe they would eat a little snack and enjoy a little bit of time by themselves without warning they find themselves in the middle of a fishing boat in the middle of a hurricane in a matter of seconds. It went from tranquil, Perfect Sunset Cruise to Absolute disaster fighting for their lives. Not the first time that they had probably been in a boat where they've been in the storm. But as the Wii windansea turned against them. They think back to the last time they were on a boat after seeing his performance in Miracles after seeing what Jesus had done. What do we what do we do? What do we what do we do? What what happens when they remember? Let's wait and see this up. Remember last time. He said peace be still and the winds and waves obey but Stark realization. Jesus wasn't with them this time. Not like the last time Jesus isn't asleep in the bowel. He wasn't with them. Someone sure she is as long as we live for God will discover that God is Not.

Formulaic, he's not consistent. He doesn't always do things the same exact way time and time again. He just tells us that he's gone, and we're not he knows what he's doing. even when we don't one of the things that were drilled into my mind and as a student Bible College is God is God and I am not God knows what I need when I need it. Controls what needs to be even though I don't see it. Is in control and I'm not if you're human and you're breathing you probably have been discouraged because God hasn't done something the way that you think it should be done. God didn't react the way that you think he should have reacted. I mean, let's just be honest. We've all been driving down the road and something happened to us and wish the Lord would strike that person dead.

Nope, just me. Thanks for leaving me leaving on that Lynn there. All we all must have something. happened to us that we'd we wish something else would have happened, you know things we didn't get a job. Remember a few years ago. I went to interview them like. Just let me get this job. Let me get this job. This is the perfect for me is perfect for my family. And then that door doesn't open up but I pray God opened that door up and then when the rejection letter comes out. What are you doing? That was perfect for me? but God chose What's best for me? God knows what I need most so he's looking out for me. He's past present and future. He sees the beginning from the end. He's always got my best interest in him and a lot of times we think our best interest. Are not God's best interest. We think that they are. but we only have the short-sighted vision of what tomorrow brings not what 10 years from now can bring or 30 years from now can bring

God doesn't always answer our prayers the same way every single time. Sometimes we pray for healing for our self or maybe for somebody else and God miraculously reaches out and heal our bodies other times we pray for healing and we watch God miraculously give Grace to someone during their sickness.

There's been a lot of we've dealt with a lot of death. The last few years is very hard for me to go and teach through this and not think of the situations where we've lost people.

Think of Eileen shingledecker the Lord allow her to overcome cancer and allowed her to it to overcome all of that sickness and and heal her body and restore her body only to have her get cancer again and be here on Labor Day and tell the church that she's the cancer has returned and that would be the last time that she's at church because it was so fast that attack your body 6 weeks later. She passed away.

But when I say thank God can heal us but give us Grace To Live gracefully. You think about Eileen in the last six weeks of her life. She was loving people as she was fading away how she was able to love her her kids and reconcile Simone give Grace and glory to God and have peace that. Only God's that can supply because when you're looking death in the eyes life becomes very real the reality of their being the possibility of no tomorrow. I haven't been there personally, but I can imagine that it's a daunting and it's a terrifying item to look at but to hear and see the way that she dealt with things. That's Grace that only God can supply

See when God answers our prayer. For someone down the road from us, but he doesn't answer our prayer and doesn't answer our prayer like we hoped he would God is still God and God is still good. He doesn't love us last and love somebody else more. God is God and I am not God still cares for me. God still loves me in my situation. Still hears me in my Brokenness. Still blesses me in my moments of need. See for the disciples as there on the in the boat there in the Sea of Galilee. It would have been a great moment for an encore performance of peace be still.

But Jesus was a few furlongs away one translation said he was probably two to three miles away from them where they were at in the sea and where he was at on the coast. Plaza disciples going to begin to work on their the rescue mission. They're getting know where the fishermen are nervous that they might sink the tax collector in the physician are terrified that they're going to die because that's not a storm that they've ever dealt with before and the more that they bail water out of the boat for every bucket that goes out two more Buckets come in as hard as they try. They just couldn't get ahead the unforgiving hands of the hurricane. We're just beating against that little boat that they were in and they were rowing for all they're worth and even though Jesus wasn't with them. He was watching them. Mark records in Mark 6:48. He saw them toiling in rowing. When disciples could not see Jesus Jesus still saw them. Listen to that verse. Put it in writing down in a notebook. Instill it in your brain when they could not see him. He still saw them.

When you can't see God working, he still working behind the scenes. When you don't feel it and you feel like you're alone in the storm. He still has his eye on you. He still sees what you're going through. He still all ready to pounce in the moment that you needed the most you may think you can't take another wave of life's storms. God will allow you to take as much as you can bear and when you can't bear anymore, that's when he steps in when you can't handle it anymore. That's what he steps in just keep on holding on to the faith that he may bend you but he'll never break you he may pushed you and he may try and rub off some of that hard things that are in your life and remove some of those things can become a little bit more pure gold and goes through some purifying fire, but he's never leaving you alone in the battle. He's never leaving you alone and the storm God is Always with you you think your storm is bad imagine it without him imagine it without his protection and his head's that's around you God is with you.

He saw them. He saw them when they were calmly cruising along in the smooth Waters and he saw them when they were fighting for their lives in the middle of the Waves. He sees you where you're at. Who would have been a great story if the wind and the waves weren't there and it was just calm and peaceful and here comes Jesus walking across. Smoothwater what candy. Do some kind of operation? What is what in the world the disciples would have applauded and Clapton? I don't know Jesus Jesus. I don't know how they are. I don't have no idea.

But Jesus came walking above the water. When I look like the water was about to take the disciples out. See storms in the Sea of Galilee can happen in just an instant. The Sea of Galilee is about 734 ft below sea level the only other body of water that's lower than that is the Dead Sea.

There's Cliffs on the grounds. The Eastern edge of the Sea of Galilee in it. It's very high. There's nothing ask list there. So if you have the situation where the cold weather for the mountain comes up and over and hit the warm water of the Sea of Galilee and in an incident can form a Squall that is claimed countless lives at the most seasons see Affairs because these storms happen in an instant. Wouldn't be awesome. If there would be that some kind of check engine light that would come on first before a storm happens. One of the awesomest life came with a check engine light. That was a little warning but then you work on cars that little light comes on. You know, like I'm not worried about that flight too much until it starts the flash when it starts the flash. They're not gay. There's a final warning you're in is about to explode it's bad news, but that check engine light something tough to be a lot of things. You can be Pistons are going bad. Maybe your gas cap not on tight. Yeah. I did your check engine light. I have a lot of everything when it be nice. Hey, Sickness is about to hit your house.

Hey. addictions about to grab a hold of your children

Hey, you're getting ready to have a fire in your home.

You getting ready to lose everything that you own near and dear?

What would be great to have a check engine light but life doesn't come with an a warning? Everything can be hunky-dory in your life.

car accident boom lost your job Boom sickness attacks your body Everything Changes in an instant. But when life Surprises cost us around it does not surprise Jesus. He knows exactly what will happen and then it will happen. He sees the disciples and he sees us it's hard to understand this. Sometimes it's hard to comprehend this sometimes.

Do you want to go?

We lost. Josh Norman

and I always try to out of respect. But it was a shocking loss.

here today gone tomorrow.

We've we've lost a lot of people here lately a lot of things that's going on. And I knew that this would be a tough subject.

We lost Tommy 67 years ago. Still feel the Lost Lee Fowler seven years ago this April.

Can always plan for these things? I'll do remember a conversation with Lee that I had that we talked about making the opportunity to get to heaven if I have the chance to get to heaven. What if the Lord calls me? Hey. come on in come on in or going back I'm giving you the option. We said if I'm standing at the gates, I ain't coming back.

Because what if the next time I don't get the opportunity to go in the gates. He said his dog there and he's letting me in. I'm sorry. I'm going I'm taking those steps. to those of us on Earth we had our way.

We had our way. We wouldn't we wouldn't want those things. We still want our friends here. We've still want our family here. We still want those ones that we loved so dearly to be with us and still. There's things that can happen when you go through trials and tribulations you go through struggles and you go through Brokenness. A lot of times people go and seclude themselves away do not want to talk to anybody. I don't want to leave me alone. I'm isolating yourself from the people who love you are one of the most dangerous things that you can possibly do because you're taking your eyes off of God, you're not focusing on what God can do and how God can help comfort and you're removing ourselves from people who love you and want to take care of you and want to wrap you in a loving Embrace. And yes, it may be awkward. Yes. It may be uncomfortable. Yes. They might say something that doesn't come out exactly right but they're still trying they're still sometimes when you're you're dealing with someone who saw something. You don't really have the right words to say. Because it's really the right words to say.

There's danger in isolation. because when you isolate yourself

You look down and you only look at yourself. You only look at your problems. You only look at your situation. You only look at your Brokenness. You don't look at what God can do you don't look at how other people have conquered Brokenness in their life. You don't listen to how other people can overcome things in her situation. Kimono only. I've only done this. This is only me. Nobody else has ever done with the thing. Nobody else has ever experienced this that's not true.

There are other people that have experienced Brokenness just like you have and in some cases a whole lot worse and they survived and they're wanting to love you and they're wanting to embrace you. It's the importance of having a church body who's there with you? That's even though you're not strong enough to handle things on your own. They'll be there as a support with you when you can't pray for yourself Bill pray with you when you're incapable of doing it by yourself and you don't have the effort to raise your hand still stand behind you and raise their hands for you. Is it dangerous to isolate yourself? You only problem and negative when you're you're with yourself, you don't ever sync on the positive. Hello, it's me. It's me. What is in it?

I know I'm right. because

it hurts. It's hard.

Things Fall Apart when you take your eyes off of God

We think there are problems so big we think are broken. This is so huge that we can't overcome it. But truth of the matter is it's just a mustard seed compared to what God can do for us.

the disciples going wrestle their boat

trying to keep it upright and they see a silhouette walking in the horizon. What begins to rush through their mind how great it's not bad enough that we're going to drown. We're going to be attacked by sea ghost. I mean, let's just be honest how many people have ever seen somebody walking across the water? You're already scared. Hey what happens when your scared you become more scared by anything that have would you do to that Creek to the boat? And we were already called. We're going to lose it. And now we get to deal with the Sea of Galilee is rumored see ghosts. I don't know. It sounds like an episode from Scooby-Doo.

Something you don't see everyday is a silhouette walking across the water. So it had to be a ghost. Maybe it's the ghost of some sailor that died before them. write C tails You hear things like that?

Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse. Here comes a ghost to haunt them. Well that's putting the feather in the cap.

They're more afraid of that water walking silhouette and they were of the storm. They shrieked and they were surprised when Jesus responds to him and Mark 6 first fifty be of good cheer it is I be not afraid. When he showed up. Shipside he calm their fears that he wasn't a ghost. Who is closed? Thank the Lord for he pulls back the veil even further than what he had done in previous passages. He revealed to them that he is the I am.

It is I Be not Afraid. The true translation is a lot more powerful than those words. Jesus is not just telling them. Hey, it's my name tag. Like, it's Jesus. It's your old friend. The translation actually reads. I am be not afraid I am I was I will I am the I am I am everything that I created into existence. I control the wind and the wave I am in control of this situation. He made the highest Divine claim that he could possibly make he didn't just come from God. He was God manifest in flesh. He identified himself in exit 314 Ethan and God said to Moses. I am and that I am and he said this doubt shall say unto the children of Israel. I am half sent me. It's Did the same thing as saying Jehovah to Jehovah Jireh Who provided the RAM for Abraham to sacrifice Jehovah Rapha who healed the Israelites from their deadly diseases Jehovah Nissi who fought for Israel against their enemies the jehovah-shalom who gave Jenny a piece when he faced over 120,000 ruthless and Relentless shoulders. Jehovah-shammah. Who stands at the helm of Heaven's armies. Jehovah is his sheep to safety the Jehovah that was standing in the wind and the wave that was threatening. Her life is the Jehovah that's in control of all things that same Jehovah is named Jesus that same Jehovah is who we call in and our moment of weakness that same God is the one that we safe in Jesus name and healing takes place. That sang one is the one we say in Jesus name. Joy is restored happiness is renewed depression leave sickness escapes our bodies when we say the name Jesus that same Jesus was walking on water to save them in their situation.

What I'm trying to get acrost is there is no Authority when we say the name Jesus, there's power when we say the name Jesus. There's annoying when we say the name Jesus when your struggle when your fight when you are lonely when you're broken speak the name Jesus when you're distraught when you're isolated take your eyes off of your problems and put it on the one who controls the wind and the wave and pink can.

If he can walk on water. If he concealed behind highs if he can raise the lane. defeat death hell in the grave bring peace and restoration. What can God do for you? The Bible says he's the same yesterday today and forever the same miracle that performed three thousand years ago are still being done today. He still gives strength. He still gives power never lose sight of who Jesus really is. She's not just a baby in a Manger or a crucified Christ on the center cross. He is the I am he's everything that you need when you need it. He's everything to you in your moment of desolation.

We look over this sometimes.

We don't.

We don't realize the authority in the power we have when we say in Jesus name.

when we stand over our kids beds when they're sick we still in the hospital room.

Or co-worker comes to us. We say let's pray.

Sometimes we don't realize the authority that we have when we're saying in Jesus name bless this situation figured out power and anointing that we have Upon Us by being filled with the Holy Ghost and live in a sanctify life in pain and living separate and the authority that we have when we say in Jesus name and we believe that we don't just lay hands on somebody and do it superficially says I was just in in Jesus name bless them in Jesus, but we do it with authority in Jesus name let their life be changed in Jesus name I believe restoration is coming in Jesus name I believe killing is coming. We believe it with faith. What kind of Miracles could take place?

He is the I am.

Jesus walks on what worries us did the disciples it was the wind and the waves. But he walks on your bills. He walks on your sickness. He walks on your marriage. He walks on the fear of you being forgiven.

There are some people. That can't get past themselves. Because they feel like they've done too many bad things in too much wrong. That God will never be able to forgive them for all the things they've done wrong.

That's not true. Cock and forgive all of those things. And a 99.9% of the case has already forgiven them to you. He's already forgiven that thing it's you that haven't let it go but he has enough power to allow you to take those burdens and lay them on his shoulders so you can walk out free and restore from that moment.

He is the I am. We coming to church the I am is here always has the power to calm the storm and even if he doesn't calm the storm he'll be with us in the middle of our store and help calm us. I said it two times before worship doesn't change the situation. What warship change changes Us in the situation?

It changes us to have Grace in the situation. It gives us peace in the situation.

sometimes we struggle with that.

Because we like to be angry.

Why I don't like to be angry. Yeah, but if you let go of this hurt and if you let go of this problem. Then you get to move forward in Christ. And some people use that here's the problem. Here's how I've been hurt. Here's how I've been broken. So therefore I can never go any further in my relationship with God and I'm okay with that.

Because we're putting the Border up and say well, this is the reason why I can't be any more through God then what? What I intend to be God wants to take you.

to the finish line He wants to do more through you than once you get ever imagine him being capable of doing. I want to do great things.

in real life when you finally sit back and realize who it is that you're actually serving. You look fretless and you'll trust more. When you grasp the idea who you're really serving and you understand that you can't control.

Mike, I've had conversations in and talk Just telling Kyle I've got to go on a sales trip here in a few weeks. I'm going with a guy that I don't know. I've never met him before I talk to him on the phone going to spend the week driving with him all through the the the Texas oil fields, and I have no idea and he I don't know what hotels were staying at. I don't know anything else like that and he's going to drive the whole time. And I said I would just I'd struggle with that cuz I am not in control cuz I can't drive the car how many people know that feeling. I know it. Absolutely. I believe we're going on a sales trip. I'm driving, you know, you can change the radio, but I'm driving so we want we want that. We want that in our lives. We want to plan out the next 17 steps of what's going to happen. We want to know that this is that this is this this is that this is that you don't tell God your plan and then see what happens.

Dial change your plan. Got to flip your plan upside down because a lot of times our plan doesn't reflect God's plan.

life would be a whole lot easier for a lot of people. If they put down the reins.

Gave up control. gave up trying to choke hold things into existence and say God I'm going to surrender to you.

And understand that God is faithful. God is true. And God always has your best intentions in mind. God never going to lead you into a situation of more Brokenness. If anything got going to leave you out of a situation of Brokenness that you led yourself into. He's going to lead you out of those things Mark or Matthew. I don't have the scripture point but Peter is in the boat and Jesus comes up to the boat. After you get past the realization that Jesus is walking on the water in the fear subsides away. He sent Jesus back into me call calling me. I want to step out in the water aisle. I want that same miracle that you were experiencing and I looked this up Sister Mary the sea Galley has the average depth of 83 ft across the Sea of Galilee 141f deepest area. So it's not a very very deep lake by any means but still pretty deep he's not going to touch the bottom of the Peter stepped out of the boat. But what it doesn't say how many steps I took. But he stepped out begin to walk on water. Imagine. It was a little unsteady in the very beginning. You know, I don't know how it moves it goes on but then he got a little bit more confident and I don't know if it was a wave that crashed behind him. Maybe it was a crack of thunder that scared him. They took his eyes off God. And then put his eyes on his surroundings.

Took his eyes off of Jesus and then began to look around in the staunch realization of my Lord. I'm walking on water. begins to

ringing in his ears and he begins to sink. Tell Jesus reaches out and grabs a hold of his hand. Pull them out of the water and then that I imagine they just go walking hand-in-hand to the boat.

It's amazing how we can conquer the waves and storm of life. As long as our eyes are fixed on him. But when you take your eyes off of God in the middle of the storm when you take your eyes off the one who controls everything that is. The waves of this world begin tough to beat a little faster beat a little stronger and be a little harder on us.

I know that there's a lot of stuff that has happened. There's a lot of things that have been going on. There's a lot of people that have every right to be angry and broken at God because things didn't go the way that they thought they should go. But if you can take your eyes off of your own problem. you think your eyes off your own situation for a second and just put your eyes on the one who is he'll be your I am and every moment he'll give you peace that passes all understanding will give you comfort that. You can explain he'll give you who joy that you didn't know existed. He'll give you comfort that allows you to sleep. When sleep was but just a fictional character in your imagination.

He'll give you comfort that you didn't know you needed. Let's bow our heads in Jesus name God. I pray Lord that you continue to move upon Scott Lord that we grasp around the fact of who you are in our lives that we grasp around the b i g of the authority that you have in our lives and when we speak your name Miracles can happen. We thank you for that right now in Jesus name we pray a man. We have a few moment that they're changing out services. Our students are here. Make sure you greet someone tell him how great it is that they're here in church today shake a hand.
