John 6:1–14 (NLT)
1After this, Jesus crossed over to the far side of the Sea of Galilee, also known as the Sea of Tiberias.
2A huge crowd kept following him wherever he went, because they saw his miraculous signs as he healed the sick.
3Then Jesus climbed a hill and sat down with his disciples around him.
4(It was nearly time for the Jewish Passover celebration.)
5Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”
6He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.
7Philip replied, “Even if we worked for months, we wouldn’t have enough money to feed them!”
8Then Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up.
9“There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”
10“Tell everyone to sit down,” Jesus said. So they all sat down on the grassy slopes. (The men alone numbered about 5,000.)
11Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted.
12After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, “Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted.”
13So they picked up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with scraps left by the people who had eaten from the five barley loaves.
14When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, “Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!”

Introduction

A huge crowd kept following him wherever he went, because they saw his miraculous signs as he healed the sick. John 6:2
• Huge crowd following Jesus.
• They were following Him because of the miracles that they saw.
• Jesus knows that this crowd had been following Him all day. They were hungry. Jesus knew that if they left they would find something to satisfy their hunger somewhere else.
• There is a difference between hunger and appetite.
• You can always feed your hunger but your appetite will never be satisfied until you get what your appetite is craving.

I. Anything in Jesus hands is blessed.

We felt we were doomed to die and saw how powerless we were to help ourselves; but that was good, for then we put everything into the hands of God, who alone could save us, for he can even raise the dead. 2 Corinthians 1:9 TLB

A. Impossible situations leave you feeling powerless, helpless and hopeless.

1. Impossible = Not able to occur, exist or be done. Very difficult to deal with.
2. They were dealing with a situation where they could not feed 5000 + people with a happy meal.
• 12 men and one small lunch = how will this ever feed this crowd of hungry people.
We are not able to take away your cancer. I'm sorry you only have three months? We don't have enough money to pay the rent and we are going to be evicted! My logic says all I have is 5, 10 or 100 dollars what can God do with that?
Have you ever been in an impossible situation? You know that you are in an impossible situation when you know you want to throw in the towel, but you can't. Everything around you is screaming it's over and done!
• When it seems impossible is not the time to quit, Who ALONE CAN SAVE YOU BUT GOD!
• There are steps to receiving the miraculous and having Jesus bless your life.
1. The miracle begins when you put it completely in God's hands.
2. The miracle is complete when IT leaves God's hands.
Anything you put in Gods hands is always going to turn out blessed and in your favor!

II. He was willing to offer the little that he had

2 Kings 4:43
“What?” his servant exclaimed. “Feed a hundred people with only this?” But Elisha repeated, “Give it to the people so they can eat, for this is what the Lord says: Everyone will eat, and there will even be some left over!
A. We tend to see things from our limited perspective.
1. When you perceive things from a limitation you lose site of its potential.
When you see the potential your perspective begins to change.
What's that you have...
• Moses - a stick
• Widow - some meal and a drop of oil
• The Boy - five crackers and two minnows
2. It doesn't matter to God what you have to offer so long as what you offer is all you have.
God will take all you have, as little as it may be and turn it into something great.
• God, "All I have is a jacked up life...God can use that."
• I came on a mission to change how you perceive things so that I can change your perspective.
• If I can change your perspective you will change the way you see God.
• You will literally change how God will use you.

III. Nothing Is wasted in Jesus hands.

John 6:12 (AMP)
12When they had all had enough, He said to His disciples, Gather up now the fragments (the broken pieces that are left over), so that nothing may be lost and wasted.
A. Jesus said, "Gather up the fragments..."
1. Jesus is able to take even the broken piece that are left over and use them.
He will take a broken dream, a broken marriage, a broken life and build something great out of even the littlest fragments.
So That nothing may be lost and wasted
• Nothing is wasted....
Stop fretting over this person and that person Nothing is ever lost or wasted with God.
• Why they aren't serving God or this person why they are't being healed, Nothing is ever lost or wasted with God.
• I'm telling you that if God can take a broken down and out drug addict. A sick drug bound prostitute and take the broken pieces of their lives he can make a miracle out of a mess.
• Our God makes miracles out of what we have made a mess of.
• You look at the mess but God sees the miracle.
• If I can reach just one person this morning and let you know that God in creating a miracle out of you!
