What is the definition of happiness? . . . feeling or showing pleasure or contentment
better question . . .What would it take to make you happy?
material things and finances are always a part of that answer
a million dollars
my own home
a car in good condition
take a trip to
retire and have all my bills paid
pay off my debts
relationship situations
me and my so and so could reconcile
if so and so would just come back home
if so and so was still alive
health
if I lost this weight
if this leg/my back/my arm didn’t hurt
if I could be young again
The pattern is that something good has to happen for us to be happy . . . someone once said something has to be happening for us to happy
happiness is dependent, circumstantial, situational
What was the last time you were happy, and how long did it last?
and because of social media, sometimes it seems that everyone is happy but you
What we really need is joy
happiness because of circumstances
joy despite circumstances
happiness takes a short term view
joy takes a long term view
happiness is a me focused
joy is kingdom focused
happiness puts its hope in earthly things
