3 Main ways to spot a demon:

You will see demons manifest. What do we mean by manifest? They will reveal themselves in unusual ways (eyes or look will change, strange smile, odd behavior, writhing/contorting, hissing, etc.)

Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

1. Discernment-

1 Corinthians 12:8–12

“for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.”

2. The presence of God. The presence of the Holy Spirit will cause demons to manifest.

Mark 9:20–22

“Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.””

5. Profanity, Cursing, Blaspheming, Gossiping.

‌

6. Sexual Perversion.

7. Involvement in the Occult.

8. False Religions

9. Chronic Sickness

‌

10. Compulsive Behavior

11. Restlessness/Nervousness/Fear in a spiritual environment or with something like a Bible.

‌

12. Compulsive Desire to hurt self.

‌

13. Paranormal Experiences (shower story with Caleb and Nai’s name)

14. Hearing Voices

15. Feeling watched or feeling or seeing a dark presence in a room.

16. Changes in behavior (Nai story about self-pity)

17. Trances. (Sometimes they will just go into a trance and be oblivious to what is going on around them.)

18. Claw marks, bruises or scratches on their body with no apparent reason behind them. (Michelle Story- Nai Story)

Now you may not know any or all of these things going on in a person’s life. That is why you must interview the witness. You care hearing their account of certain areas of their life. You will ask specific questions as led of Holy Spirit in order to determine what is going on and what needs to be dealt with.

Whodunit?

‌

As you collect the evidence, you will begin to get a picture of what demons are at work. It is not enough to know what demons need to be dealt with though. You must learn where they came in. Why?

‌

Take Anger. If someone comes to you and has outbursts of anger and rage, you can go straight to casting that thing out, but if you don’t understand where the source of that anger and rage are coming from, the demons will just come back eventually. If you know that person was bullied and made to feel worthless and powerless and they made an inner vow that they would never feel like that again....now you not only know the culprit demon, but you also know the motive behind the crime! Derek Prince tells the story of a soldier that came in with a wound and he started to bandage the soldier up, but the doctor made him stop. He pulled out some forceps and removed shrapnel. Counselling without deliverance is putting a bandage on a wound and covering the shrapnel. The wound will eventually get infected and worse instead of better!

Laying on of hands- (Derek Prince battling sickness people laid hands on him and the next morning he felt better, but was stiff and hurting like he had arthritis. Holy Spirit told him that someone who laid hands on him had arthritis.) Demon slayers will say you can’t have a demon transfer, but we have way too many experiences to say otherwise. Nai at Walmart- Completely changed!
