Jesus lived to serve God and glorified God with all of His life constantly aware of the shadow of the cross and His limited time to do it.
This has immense application for us.
Are we intensely aware of the Father’s will for life and are we striving to live all of our life for the glory of God knowing we only have a limited time to do it?
We talk all the time about living a life of relentless godliness.
Of not coasting but earnestly striving to serve God and magnify Him in all of our life.
Are you living for God and His will or are you just living for yourself?
We must follow the example of Christ making the best use of the time, Ephesians 5:16, because the days are evil, and our days are short…the Psalms say every one of them is numbered (Psalm 139:16).
And So, Psalm 90:12 teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.
That we would not waste our days but live all of them for the glory of God.
Let me ask it like this…
Are you striving for godliness?
Are you striving to live for the glory of God in every area of your life each and every day making the best use of the time or is your faith always faith of tomorrow?
Tomorrow I’ll serve God.
Tomorrow I’ll get serious about my faith.
Tomorrow I’ll put that sin to death.
Tomorrow I’ll start reading my Bible, earnestly following Jesus, and live all of my life for Him.
But somehow tomorrow never comes.
There is only so much time in the day and only so many days in your life.
Are you using all of them for the glory of God?
