It is the symbolic meal which our Lord Jesus established and commanded; in which
Christians remember His sacrifice
In which they acknowledge their sharing in the benefits of His death
and at which they have fellowship with Him and other Christians as they share in this meal with thanksgiving to God.
Basically, ti is an expression of our commitment to God and our relationship together in the body of Christ. The Lord's Supper directs our attention to Jesus and reminds us of what He did for us and for the world on the cross.
