When we see someone being tested in some way, we often wonder how we would do under the same circumstances. Today, we see Abraham being tested by God, and it's an uncomfortable story for us because it was such an incredibly difficult test. We wonder how we would do in a situation like Abraham's. We wonder how Abraham could possibly do what he did. But the reason Abraham was able to do what he did was that he trusted that he had a God who would stop at nothing to keep his promises.
