로마서 3:19–28 ESV

Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

고린도후서 13:5 ESV

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

Believers must inspect faith by returning from our own desires.

Bible says the state of the nature our old person.

롬1:29-30 They are full of every kind of sin, evil and ungodliness. They want more than they need. They commit murder. They want what belongs to other people. They fight and cheat. They hate others. They say mean things about other people. 30They tell lies about them. They hate God. They are rude and proud. They brag. They think of new ways to do evil. They don’t obey their parents.

Sin which dwells in us, bothers us to forget our nature of sin. We have to figure out our selfrighteousness. There is an example of this in Judes that shows the selfrighteousness of people.

The story of Levite and his concubine.

A levite who lived in hill country of Ephraim, has a second wife. The concubine get angry to him and left him. She went to her father’s house and stayed there four months.

에브라임 산지 살던 레위인의 첩이 바람을 피고 유다 베들레헴에 있는 아버지의 집에 4달을 지내고 있었음. 다정하게 말을 하여 데려오려고 하인 한명과 나귀 두 마리를 데리고 떠남. 5일째 오후에 첩을 데리고 출발하여 여부스에서 밥이 깊어 하 노인의 집에서 잠을 자기로 함. 발을 씻고 맛있는 음식을 나누고 즐거워할 때 불량배들이들이닥쳐 레위인과 하인을 강간하려 할 때, 첩을 내어줌. 새벽까지 강간을 당하고 죽어 있었음.

이 사건에 대한 레위인의 반응을 자세히 묘사한다. 사랑하던 첨에 대한 애정이나 슬픔 대신에, 시체를 12조각을 내어 각 이스라엘의 지파에 보내어 불량배들의 악을 고소한다. 전역에 있는 이스라엘 사람들의 반응은 “애굽에서 나온 이후로 이런 악행을 본적이 없노라” 이 악의에 대하여 분노하고 분개하여 그들을 치기 위해 군대를 불러모은다. 이스라엘의 반응이 정상적인 반응인가? 의롭다고 할 수 있는가? 죄의 시작은 미미하지만 그 끝은 독사의 혀 같아서 생명을 삼킨다.

In the story, there is all kind of sins that Romans 1:29 says. evile and ungodliness, commit murder, wanting what belongs to other people, fighting, cheating, hating others, tell lies, and hating God and His words.

로마서 1:29 ESV

They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,

Even if my sin does not need to be compared with this sort of sins, there is a profitable teaching to us. All these sins come from self-righteousness, therefore, there is a common ground between their sins and my sins. Both are practicing their righteousness.

이 이야기 속에 불의, 추악, 탐욕, 악의, 살인, 분쟁, 사기, 악독이 가득한 마음이 다 들어 있다. 이 이야기는 죄의 지독함과 그 끝을 보여준다. 우리는 그들과 다른 사람이 아니라, 우리가 본래 그 레위인과 이스라엘처럼 자신의 죄의 대하여 관대하고 이웃의 문제에만 집착하는 추악한 죄인이다. 율법은 이렇에 우리 죄가 드러나게 하고 본성을 고발한다.

Surrendering and repenting our sins

Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. 20 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin 롬 3:19–20.

The Holy Spirit helps us give up our own righteousness. He dwells in us and lead us by convincing us of our sin and misery, enlightening our minds in the knowledge of Christ, renewing our wills, and persuading us to get the Christ in the Godpel.

The Holy Spirit pushes us to throw out all things that exalt self-righteousness. The gospel of Christ do not provide happiness, good feeling, money, nice house that exalt our own righteousness. In stead of these things, the gospel gives us the holiness, the righteousness of God, forgiving others, and the kingdom of God.

God wants us repent our sin pursuing the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of the life.

이러한 인류에 하나님이 개입하셨다는 사실을 기억해야 한다. 십자가 사건

아들을 낳으리니 그 이름을 예수라 하라

내 인생에 그 분은 기어코 개입하셔서 십자가 앞에서죄에 대해 죽고 의를 입을수 있도록 찾아오셨다는 사실

완전히 거룩하소 의로우신 하나님께서 피조물들에게 의를 요구하고 계십니다. 그러므로 하나님께 나아가기 위해 우리는 의를 가지지 않으면 안된다. 그렇다면 우리는 어찌해야 하는가? 예수 그리스도의 십자가를 붙잡는 길만 택해야 한다. 그 외에 다른 것을 붙들면 다 죽는 것이다.

그리스도의 십자가는 우리가 하나님의 의가 되는 유일한 길이다.

죄를 깨닫는다는 말은 죄가 죄로 드러나게 하는 역할을 한다는 의미다.

그러면 인간은 어떻게 해야 하는가?

예수 그리스도의 복음은 이러한 죄의식을 자각하게하고 비추어 주어서 그리스도 앞에 살려달라고 애원하게 한다. 둘째아들이 아버지 유산을 정리하여 자기 몫을 받아 떠나가서 술과 쾌락에 빠져 살 때에 아버지는 그냥 그대로 두신다. 그렇게 하시는 이유는 그가 사랑하던 모든 것을 잃어버리고 난 후에 아버지의 사랑을 깨닫고 회개할 때까지 기다리시는 것이다. 율법은 하나님의 사랑을 죄인이 깨달을 때까지 그들의 죄가 드러나도록 가두어 두는 것이다.

인간은 복음을 만나야지만이 죄의식을 고백하고 회개하며 하나님 의를 갈망하게 된다.

하나님 앞에서 천국에 가려면, 태어나서 죽는 순간까지 완벽한 사랑과 삶을 살아야 한다. 이것이 율법의 요구다. 사마리아인처럼. 그래서 율법으로 하나님은 우리의 현주소, 즉, 처지를 비추어 주신다.

나는 저 사람들과 다른 신앙인이라는 자아 인식을 하고 산다면 그건 복음을 모르는 것이다. 완벽한 사랑의 요구 앞에서 죽음의 지옥으로 떨어지게 되어있다.

내 존재가치를 회복하고 나를 비참하게 하는 현실과 사람들을 처리하고 높은 위치에서 내 존재의 가치를 품어내야지 하는 것이 죄의 상태이다.

The Godpel gives us the righteousness of God

whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

Only, The Godpel provide God’s righteousness. In His righteousness, we can get the life, be free from our sinful nature. The Holy Spirit makes us effectual

복음은 이 사실을 인식하게 한다. 그렇기 때문에 구원을 받으려면 반드시 우리의 죄 값이 치루어져야만 한다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 의로우셔서 하나님의 의로운 공의가 충족되어져야만 한다. 이 공의가 충족될 수 있는 유일한 길은 하나님의 법을 어긴 사람들의 죽음을 통해서만 가능하다. 그래서 나는 죽어 마땅한 존재인 것이다. 복음은 이 사실을 자가가하도록 돕는다. 비참하게 사는 것이 마땅한 결과이다.

하나님의 의

동시에 세상 어디에든 거하시는 하나님의 존재를 자각하고 그 의를 생명으로 여기는 것이다.

복음은 하나님 의를 발견하고 그 앞에 전인격적으로 생명을 걸고 내 인생을 드리는 것이다.

내 죄에 대한 대가를 치뤄야 하지만, 십자가에서 나를 위해 그 값을 지불하신 그리스도에게 의지하여 그 죄가 간과됨을 믿는 것이다.

롬3:25 하나님께서 길이 참으시는 중에 전에 지은 죄를 간과하심으로

God’s righteousness allows us to be united with Christ.

When tsunami hit to Japan, all people who, hold what they loved such as money bag and gold bar, died. However, people who caught the waste things such as styrofoam and log, lived. In the same way, if you hold your righeousness, ethic, philosophy, and properties, will be dead. However, you will live forever when you catch the covenant of God’s word, the way Jesus went, the way of Cross, and Jesus Christ.

유월절 어린양의 피를 보고 죽음의 천사가 뛰어 넘는 것이다.

율법을 들고 언약하는 백성들에게 동물의 피를 흩뿌리고 그 언약이 유효한것처럼, 믿음으로 하나님의 의를 가진 자들은 그리스도의 피로 인침을 받는 것이다.

롬 3:26곧 이 때에 자기의 의로우심을 나타내사 자기도 의로우시며 또한 예수 믿는 자를 의롭다 하려 하심이라

복음을 아는 자, 즉 회개를 했는지 어떻게 아는가?

한 때 사랑하던 죄를 미원하게 하고 하나님이 마음 속에 역사하신다.

내가 무시하던 하나님을 갈망하는가?

하나님의의 의로우심을 죽도록 높이고 그 의를 믿는는 자에게게 주신 것에에 대해 영원토록 찬양하는는 자리에 서도록 푸시한다.

즉, 복음음과과 충돌한 인생은 하나님이 기뻐하시는는 일을 초지일관관 찾아 따르려고고 한다. 사람의 화려한 지략보다 하나님의 거룩하심심, 의로우심이 드러나는 행위를 더 사모한다.

예) 거룩한한 백성들과의의 모임에서 논리적으로로 더더 나은은 길보다다 하나님의 하나됨을 중요시시 여긴다. 복음을을 모르면면 이론을을 흉내낼낼 수는는 있지만만 그그 행위를 나타낼낼 수는는 없다다.

9초를 달리고 금메달을 목에 걸기 위해 어릴 때부터 매일 훈련을 하고 달린다. 영원을 위해서 우리는 얼마나 사모하고 갈망해야 하는가?
