45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Read Mark 10:35-45.
minister = servant, slave
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Title: Why you come to church?
In this day we live in it has become increasingly hard to get people to come to the House of God.
Many reasons.
The greatest reason is that people are selfish!
Yesterday I listen to a “cutting edge” church growth expert talk about all the things that modern church was and what people expect when they come to church.
Lights, programs, technology, smoke, be made to feel good, laugh

Church is about how I am made to feel.
Why would Jesus come?
Jesus came to be a servant!
Pay a price, not be paid what is owed!
Problem with people today is they have expectations…
A servant has none!
A servant is a doer of another’s will.
Jesus was a doer of another’s will from the beginning.
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
a servant has no buisness
a servant has no expectation
a servant has no rights
A SERVANT ONLY HAS THE WILL OF THEIR MASTER!
What was the will of the Master?
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Whatever else was done, Jesus was on a single minded mission to find and save the lost around him!
He fulfilled his mission at a well…
He did it standing on a boat, in fields, on streets, in homes
Everywhere he went he was doing his part to fulfill the Father’s buisness!
2. A servant is the agent of another.
A courier of someone else’s message!
Whose message are you carrying?
Everywhere Jesus and his followers went, it was about the fathers buisness!
Jesus had no other agenda, purpose.
Conclusion:
Why do you come to Church?
Whose buisness are we about!
Tonight: we want to let you know the buisness of the Kingdom in this church!
Do you want to watch a show?
Your going to be disappointed!
Do you want to get involved in the buisness of the Father?
You’ve come to the right place!
Ppl say, my pastor is not feeding me!
Feed yourself! You’ve been coming for how many years?
COME TO CHURCH TO CARRY THE FATHER’S MESSAGE!
