Spiritual Reality VS Physical Reality

Matthew 17:20 NKJV
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Today’s message is one that will hopefully bring some clarity and understanding to some of the situations that have been happening in our lives. It is my hope and expectation that this message will challenge our theology in a way that will force us to run to the altar and repent. Today we will discuss how we have allowed our physical reality to become the reality that we’re believing instead of the spiritual reality.
Reality is defined as: the quality or state of being real.
Reality Check is defined as: something that clarifies or serves as a reminder of reality often by correcting a misconception.
Our current misconception is we tend to believe what we see right in front of us in the flesh. We have allowed our physical reality to become our compass and guide to how we move and respond in the spirit when it should be the opposite. Our Spiritual reality should always be our compass and guide to how we move and respond. For it is the Spiritual reality that shapes and defines who we are in Christ. It is in our spiritual reality where we have the power and the ability to bend our natural reality to line up with the word of God for our lives. In order for our spiritual reality to be our definite reality, it requires faith, humility, and patience.
Faith
Hebrews 11:1 “1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”
Matthew 17:20 “20 He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”
Humility
Proverbs 22:4 “4 The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.”
Acts 20:19 “19 Serving the Lord with all humility in tears and in the midst of adversity (affliction and trials) which befell me, due to the plots of the Jews [against me];”
Zephaniah 2:3 “3 Seek the Lord [inquire for Him, inquire of Him, and require Him as the foremost necessity of your life], all you humble of the land who have acted in compliance with His revealed will and have kept His commandments; seek righteousness, seek humility [inquire for them, require them as vital]. It may be you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.”
Patience
Colossians 1:11 “11 [We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy,”
James 1:3 “3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.”
James 1:4 “4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.”
