Main Text: Hebrews 10: 19-23
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Truth

"Death and taxes" is a phrase commonly referencing a famous quotation written by American statesman Benjamin Franklin:
Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.
— Franklin, in a letter to Jean-Baptiste Le Roy, 1789[1]
Though Franklin is not the progenitor of the phrase, his usage is the most famous, especially in the United States.[2] Earlier versions from the 18th century include a line in Daniel Defoe's The Political History of the Devil (1726),[3] and a quote from The Cobbler of Preston by Christopher Bullock (1716), which is the earliest known iteration.[4]
You lye, you are not sure; for I say, Woman, 'tis impossible to be sure of any thing but Death and Taxes
— Toby Guzzle, in Christopher Bullock, The Cobbler of Preston, p. 21
We can see this philosophy frequently in our generation. I have witnessed to people and this way of thinking is common. I can tell someone about Jesus, and they can tell me that no one really knows if Jesus existed.
Girl in Ross I was witnessing to and I asked her if truth is real, or knowable. She really believed it to be relative, that is, it is whatever truth you want it to be.
I Then asked her if it was true that we were standing in Ross having a conversation, She said she could not tell.
My Friend! Reality exists, The problem lies with our culture, education system, and even families. The problem is with Teaching people that truth is relative, what is true for you, may not be true to me.
Our Nation is filled with churches that do not preach the gospel, does not really know sound doctrine, and are filled with people who do not really have an assurance of salvation.
Truth has come into the world, If we take an honest look, we can agree truth has come into the world.
John 8:25,26
25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
Jesus is bearing witness that his Father is true, and he never contradicted himself. Every word Jesus spoke was from the Father. So in fact every word Jesus spoke was the truth because he only spoke from his Father who is True. God cannot lie.
John 14:1-6
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus is the truth, we can have assurance of this. He is not saying he might be the truth, or you might be able to know the way.

Jesus [. . .] told people that their sins were forgiven. [. . .] This makes sense only if He really was the God whose laws are broken and whose love is wounded in every sin. [. . .] I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: “I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept His claim to be God.” That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic—on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg—or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to. - Mere Christianity

Either Jesus is a Liar, Lunatic, or Lord there is no other alternative.
Your Choice on one of the three will dictate your destiny.

Faith

Main Text: Hebrews 10: 19-23
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Faith is taking the truth and putting it on, like a parachute. If i put on a backpack and jump out of a plane would that be wise?
John 8:31,32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
1 Peter 1:3-6
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1 Peter 1:6-9
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
All of these things work together, truth, belief, faith. Peter is revealing the assurance of salvation through faith. He says the trial of our faith, being more precious than gold, because through faith we are saved.

Assurance

Main Text: Hebrews 10: 19-23
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
God has always been faithful.
John 10:27-30
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30I and my Father are one.
Luke 23:43
And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Satan Looks to corrupt the things of God, and one way he does this is by making you doubt your salvation, or promises God has made to us. Doubts are going to come. We can clearly see how faithfull God is. If we are obedient to him, and diligently seek him through Faith, we can be assured of the promises and truths he has revealed to us.
Hebrews 6:13
13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. 17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Noah and the ark, for 120 years he built and was promised that rain and flood would come, also his own assurance for salvation wrought because of Gods will and plan.
Moses assured that he would deliver the nation and be the mediator, time and time again God saved the nation, through the Red Sea, Assurance of provision mana rained from heaven and Water burst forth from a rock. All of which speak of Christ.
And Christ himself, being promised fulfilled over 300 prophecies in the old testament and gives us assurance by his Resurrection and ascension that in his death we are buried with him. and If we being burried with him we have no more claim on the old man, we are raised with him in the New Man and we will be with him forevermore.

Coming Out of the Coal Pit

1 John 5:10

Preaching Themes: Assurance, Conversion, Creation: Renewal, Revival

Suppose a child was born in a coal pit, and has seen no light except that of the candles down below. Then he is suddenly taken up the shaft to see the sun, and the green fields, and the sweet spring flowers. What a surprise! I cannot wonder if the child should think himself dreaming. But if you were to say to him, “Are you out of the coal pit? Can you prove that you are?” Although the child would hardly know where he was because of his vast surprise, yet he would be sure that he was out of the darkness, convinced by an argument within himself that nobody could refute.

So we do know that we are born again, for we feel a new life and live in a new world. Things we never dreamed of before we have realized now. I remember one who when he was converted said, “Well, either the world is new or else I am.” This change is to us strong evidence that faith is in us, and has exercised its power.
