The Back of the Book

Introduction: The Account of Job in one of the most well known accounts in scripture. From a wealthy prosperous man who had Gods blessing and all the benefits that come with it even being displayed on the exterior of his life Job was brought to the brink but yet remained faithful and so God blessed him again because of his faith and trust in him. Not much is ever spoken though about the conversation at the end of the story betwen God and Job. You see this whole time in his suffering Job is wanting God to show up so that he can try him in the courtroom of fairness in his life. But God does show up in a whirlwind and Job is left speechless.

Text: Job 1:6-22

Summarize Satan then comes again and ask if he can harm jobs body by sickness and God allows him too, then his “friends” show up to help

one particular encouragement I want to notice before we get started though is through all of this account we see that God is in control, Satan can not do anything until first he has received permission from God. This doesnt mean we wont face trials and temptations but it simply shows us that God is on control and as he allows us to go through things he i sifting them through the lenses of knowing we are able to withstand them through the grace he gives us.
