Doors of Entrance for demons Continued:
Unforgiveness towards self- Entry point- Failure/Mistake, Abused as child, Shame, generational curse, expectations not met, believing God can’t forgive us.
Evidence:
1. Negative towards self
2. Self-Harm
3. Unrealistic expectations of self.
4. Depression
Willful Disobedience-
Deuteronomy 28
The Occult-
Deuteronomy 18:10–13
“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.”
Soul Ties-
1 Samuel 18:1
“Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.”
1 Corinthians 6:16
“Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.””
Genesis 2:24
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
Often through sex
Not just with people- Anything that has a hold on your mind, will and emotions
Fear/Doubt-
Word Curses-
Proverbs 18:21
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Grumbling and Complaining-
1 Corinthians 10:10
“nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer.”
Lies-
Rejection- 1 of 2 primary roots.
Laying on of hands- (Derek Prince battling sickness people laid hands on him and the next morning he felt better, but was stiff and hurting like he had arthritis. Holy Spirit told him that someone who laid hands on him had arthritis.) Demon slayers will say you can’t have a demon transfer, but we have way too many experiences to say otherwise. Nai at Walmart- Completely changed!
Shining the magnifying glass on Curses
Proverbs 26:2 “Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight.”
Deuteronomy 28:15 ““But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:”
Origins of Curses:
Sins of the nation/Land Deuteronomy 28:1–2 ““Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:” He is addressing them as a nation. Same for the curses. It works individually as well as nationally. Think about where our nation is right now. Think about where the Body of Christ is right now. Nehemiah 9:1–3 “Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, in sackcloth, and with dust on their heads. Then those of Israelite lineage separated themselves from all foreigners; and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers. And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for one-fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God.” Daniel 9:1-19
In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the lineage of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans—in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments. Neither have we heeded Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings and our princes, to our fathers and all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You.
“O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets. Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him. And He has confirmed His words, which He spoke against us and against our judges who judged us, by bringing upon us a great disaster; for under the whole heaven such has never been done as what has been done to Jerusalem.
“As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us; yet we have not made our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand Your truth. Therefore the Lord has kept the disaster in mind, and brought it upon us; for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works which He does, though we have not obeyed His voice. And now, O Lord our God, who brought Your people out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and made Yourself a name, as it is this day—we have sinned, we have done wickedly!
“O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us. Now therefore, our God, hear the prayer of Your servant, and his supplications, and for the Lord’s sake cause Your face to shine on Your sanctuary, which is desolate. O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and Your people are called by Your name.”
2. Bloodline/Generational Exodus 20:5 “you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,” Numbers 14:18 “‘The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’”
3. Disobedience- Deuteronomy 27:26 “‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ””
4. Possession of cursed objects. Deuteronomy 7:26 “Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed thing.”
5. Shedding innocent blood (murder/abortion) Deuteronomy 27:25 “‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’”
6. Idolatry. Deuteronomy 27:15 “‘Cursed is the one who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ “And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen!’”
7. Cursing or speaking against authority- Ecclesiastes 10:20 “Do not curse the king, even in your thought; Do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom; For a bird of the air may carry your voice, And a bird in flight may tell the matter.” Rich can mean noble.
8. Dishonoring parents- Deuteronomy 27:16 “‘Cursed is the one who treats his father or his mother with contempt.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’” Ephesians 6:2–3 ““Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”” Exodus 20:12 ““Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”
9. Loving the world and money/material things- 1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 John 2:15–17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” James 4:4 “Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
10. Injustice to the innocent- Deuteronomy 27:17–19 “‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor’s landmark.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ‘Cursed is the one who makes the blind to wander off the road.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ‘Cursed is the one who perverts the justice due the stranger, the fatherless, and widow.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’”
11. Sexual Perversion Deuteronomy 27:20–23 “‘Cursed is the one who lies with his father’s wife, because he has uncovered his father’s bed.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ‘Cursed is the one who lies with any kind of animal.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’” Leviticus 18:22 “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” Deuteronomy 22:5 ““A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.” Exodus 20:14 ““You shall not commit adultery.”
12. Refusing to tithe- Malachi 3:9–12 “You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; And all nations will call you blessed, For you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts.”
13. Antisemitism (Prejudice against the Jewish people)- Genesis 12:3 “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”” Muslim man in Turkey declared before a political body there that Israel was about to suffer the wrath of Allah and he had a heart attack and died instantly. He fell from the podium and was dead before he hit the floor.
14. Involvement in the Occult or Someone placing a curse upon you- Deuteronomy 18:10–13 “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God.”
You involvement brings on a curse
Someone involved in witchcraft can place a curse on you.
A curse cannot just land on you. There has to be a reason for it to work.
15. Word Curses- Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Homework:
Name 4 ways that demons have manifested in your life or the lives of people you know. 2 in your life and 2 in the lives of others. How did this make you feel? What (if anything) did you do about it?
Why do you think God has called you to be a Deliverance Minister and what do you bring to the table that will make this a good fit for you? If you can’t think of anything good for yourself…ask someone you trust to help you.
