Intro: the Man waiting to be saved by God. first a red cross truck, concerned citation, Mercy Air. Why didn’t you save me.
Its easy to strive after what we want over What God Wants.
? Who's Will are you seeking ?
Prop: We all need to Be in Gods Will
Trans: we will See this In 3 Characteristics Of Jesus

Movable By Gods Will

John 7:1–5 ESV
1 After this Jesus went about in Galilee. He would not go about in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him. 2 Now the Jews’ Feast of Booths was at hand. 3 So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea, that your disciples also may see the works you are doing. 4 For no one works in secret if he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.” 5 For not even his brothers believed in him.
Brothers:
1. IDK if they knew the Jews were looking to kill Jesus
2. their advice is true. we see this with politicians Also
New Testament 7:1–9—The Unbelief of Jesus’ Brothers

Most teachers taught in public places. Frank or open speech (v. 4) was considered virtuous, secret acts deceitful.

3. Remember what they are talking about. going to the feat or arriving in a public manner.
4. Theses Guys knew Jesus on a level I will never experience in yet there in no record of them Believing Jesus until after His Death on the Cross. Mark 3:21 and Mark 3:31 thought he was out of his mind
John 7:6–10 ESV
6 Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always here. 7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify about it that its works are evil. 8 You go up to the feast. I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.” 9 After saying this, he remained in Galilee. 10 But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private.
He Knew If He showed up in a public Manner that the Jewish leaders would kill him But It wasn’t time for Jesus to die for our sins
The Feast of Tabernacles was one of the three most important festivals of the Jewish year and was celebrated for eight days in Jerusalem.
The wanted to kill Him because HE calmed to be God and said truthful but offensive things
Did he lie?
they where talking about him showing up Publicly so he didn’t. He went in secret .
Why did he go
Deuteronomy 16:16 ESV
16 “Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God at the place that he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Booths. They shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.
Recap was it Gods will For Him to GO to Jerusalem?
Yes
Ill: I remember a speeker at collage
Tran: We see that we need to be in Gods will in How Jesus Was Movable by God

Stable In God

John 7:11–13 NET
11 So the Jewish leaders were looking for him at the feast, asking, “Where is he?”12 There was a lot of grumbling about him among the crowds. Some were saying, “He is a good man,” but others, “He deceives the common people.”13 However, no one spoke openly about him for fear of the Jewish leaders.
In case you didn’t know Jerusalem is in Judea.
So the Jewish leaders are looking for Him.
To Kill Him. Since Every Man was required to do this by law
Uniquely we get to see the conflicting in the crowd. Talking about who or what Jesus is.
Matthew 16:13–16 ESV
13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
No-one spoke openly about Jesus.
Dictionary: Gossip casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true.
Leviticus 19:16 ESV
16 You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not stand up against the life of your neighbor: I am the Lord.
John 7:14–15 ESV
14 About the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching. 15 The Jews therefore marveled, saying, “How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?”
I love this they want to Kill Him but they are amazed by His knowledge
our prayer for us:
Acts 4:13 ESV
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.
We wont be known by our ability but by Jesus
John 7:16–18 ESV
16 So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. 17 If anyone’s will is to do God’s will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.
Why will the person that wants to do God’s will will Know?
Psalm 1:1–2 ESV
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
It means your Not just hearing the word but delighting in it and working through it.
If you do this you will never be deceived because you'll know the word of God thous his will
Recap: Was It God’s Will That Jesus teach in the Temple?
Yes.
Ill: I have been Bless with People in my live that knew God’s will because they were fully Steeped In Gods Word that they were Stable and dependable.
That didn’t come from their will It was Gods Will
Tran:We see that we need to be in Gods will in How Jesus Was Movable and Stable In God

Factual In the Word

John 7:19–20 NET
19 Hasn’t Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law! Why do you want to kill me?” 20 The crowd answered, “You’re possessed by a demon! Who is trying to kill you?”
This versus Jesus Is talking to the Pharisees, Sadducee, and scribes
Mark 7:6–7 ESV
6 And he said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, “ ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 7 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
They don’t deny wanting to kill Him they in salt Him by saying He has a Demon that is trying to kill Him
Funny: lets help the Demons
Deuteronomy 18:19–20 ESV
19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’
So they where also accusing him of being a false prophet
John 7:21–23 ESV
Jesus answered them, “I did one work, and you all marvel at it. Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man’s whole body well?
Jesus brings up John 5 when He healed the paralytic on the sabbath saying they were amazed by that work but condemned Him for it happened on the sabbath.
on the same hand they work to circumcise on the sabbath. To fulfill the Law
Why the 8th day? baby blood don't clot until the 8th day.
John 7:24 ESV
Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”

They were judging by mere appearances. Their superficial understanding was caused by their hostility against God’s Representative. In their darkness they erred. Jesus called them to make a right judgment; ultimately this was a call for them to repent.

Was it Gods will That they Wanted to Insult and possibly Kill Him? No But God Aloud it.
Ill: there is a saying Major on the Majors not Miners
we can get in arguments over such trivial and meaningless things. More churches have split over the color of the carpet and thing not relating to the truth of Gods Word then anything else.

Conclusion:

Jeremiah 29:11 NET
11 For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.
The best way for you to have the best future And hope is for you to surrender everything to God’s will everything to Jesus Christ.
