The Importance of Fellowship
Congregating
Hebrews 10:25 “not abandoning our meeting together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging each other, and by so much more as you see the day drawing near.”
Some believe it is NOT essential to keep coming to every service.
Some believe that there is NO need to congregate in person since COVID because it is not necessary.
Some think that following someone online is ENOUGH to be “Pastored”
That’s a Teacher. Someone you watch online. I’ll say It is not BAD! Id rather you watch someone online than just turning to music of the world or something else.
BUT A Pastor is someone who can get close (Proximity) to you and also CORRECT you.
That preacher from online is not CLOSE enough to you in proximity to correct you
He can’t walk in life close enough to be there for you.
And we were NOT made to do life alone.
From the Beginning God said it is NOT Good for Man to be ALONE.
1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober; be on the alert. Your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.”
THE LION
The lion doesn’t hunt the entire pack. He stalks the Babies
Babies are low in Stamina
Babies are easily Scared
Babies lack Evading Experience
The Lion ISOLATES
Physically
Mentally
Spiritually
Acts 2:42 “And they were devoting themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers.”
FELLOWSHIP
Fellowship=Communion=Koinonia
An Exchange of Grace
Ex. You come in Sad and shoulders down
Sister in the corner just raising her hands and crying out praises unto God Encourages you to put your sadness aside and Also sing praises
There was a Transference of Grace
We also GOTTA BREAK BREAD! C’Mon Now!
They NEVER Lacked because they were always in FELLOWSHIP
CONCLUSION
So when we CONTINUALLY Congregate we find:
Encouragement
Purpose
Breaking of Bread
We surround ourselves with others who have similar Beliefs, Goals and Purpose!
