With A New Beginning, Comes A New Vision
1 Samuel 16:1 NASB95
Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you grieve over Saul, since I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have selected a king for Myself among his sons.”
“Fill thine horn with oil.New Anointing
Samuel had grieved Saul’s death long enough.
Living in the past will hinder you moving forward for God.
Philippians 3:13 NASB95
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
4. Where there is no vision, the people perish.
Proverbs 29:18 NASB95
Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.
5. A woman received a New beginning.
John 4:28–29 NASB95
So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city and said to the men, “Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it?”
6. The Thessalonian’s vision caused them to tell the story about Jesus Christ everywhere they went.
1 Thessalonians 1:8 NASB95
For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone forth, so that we have no need to say anything.

With A New Beginning, Comes New Commitment
1. Serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15 NASB95
“If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
2. Joshua’s commitment brought him into the superintendency of the Nation of Israel.
3. Joshua realized the value in bringing both, his home and family into Divine order.
4. Paul lived a life of total commitment to God.
Romans 8:38–39 NASB95
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

With A New Beginning, Comes A New Determination
1. Faith always looks up
1 Corinthians 2:2 NASB95
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
2. Every place we see Paul in the New Testament, he is always Determined to do the work God called him to do.
3. “Candlesticks
Revelation 1:12–14 NASB95
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire.
These are the seven churches in Asia.
4. Jesus is the High Priest standing in the “Midst” of them
5. “Voice of a trumpet.” You will not doubt His voice.
6. “His eyes a flame of fire” They see all things.
7. “He was girt about with a Golden Girdle.” In the O.T. the High Priest wore a breastplate with 12 stones on it because he represented the Nation of Israel. Jesus does not wear a breastplate because He is the High Priest over the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
8. “Golden Candlesticks.”
Revelation 1:12 NASB95
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands;
