It has been a few weeks since we have had a prayer service. Tonight, we are going to take some time and pray. I believe prayer matters. I believe prayer works.
James 5:16 (NKJV)
16 ......The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Praise & Thanksgiving

God is too good to us to not praise Him. He is worthy of our praise.
Psalm 18:3 (NKJV)
3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised....
He is deserving of our praise. He is the very fabric that holds all things together.
Colossians 1:17 NKJV
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
Every good thing in our life comes from Him.
James 1:17 NKJV
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Burden for the Lost

Part of the Great Commission” that Christ gave unto His Church was that they were to go...
Matthew 28:18–19 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
I want us to take a moment and pray that God would place a burden on our hearts for the lost within this community.
It does not matter what their background is. It does not matter what family they belong to. It does not matter what sin might lie in their past. What does matter......is that they need Jesus.
Pray not only that God would burden our hearts for the lost, but also that He would make clear unto us by what means we might reach them. How do we build a bridge for them so that they might reach Christ?
We also need to pray for a person. We need someone in this church to rise up, under the conviction of God, and take whatever ministry God sends us to reach the lost and champion that ministry. We need someone who is passionate for lost souls.
Let us pray for a burden, for a bridge, and for a body.

Spiritual Development

Not only does the great commission command us to go, it also commands us to teach:
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Sunday School Teachers
Be passionate about sharing Jesus with our kids.
God would bless them with wisdom and guidance to handle all necessary lessons and conversations.
They would see the classroom as a mission field to reach the lost as well as to train those who are saved to go deeper into their faith of God.
For the discipleship of our adults
That God will show us how to implement, on some level, a more dedicated process to disciple our older Christians.
Men and women need this discipleship.
Everyone needs a Paul and everyone needs a Timothy.
That God would raise up spiritual leaders within this church as they are spiritually developed by the Church.
In order for new ministries to start; in order for the church to grow and then be able to keep up with the demand of the people with that growth; in order for continued expansion, we need more spiritual leaders within this church.
This same principle is used within any organization. As it grows, it must bring more and more leaders into the ranks to handle the administration and operation of its daily tasks.
As the church grows, more spiritual leaders will be needed to sustain and continue that growth.
Heart for Spiritual Development
Though we may be established in our faith, we are far from being perfect in it. There is always room for improvement and always room for growth.

GNC Volunteers & Summer Programs

We as a church, have a heart for kids. We love them and want to do everything in our power to provide a solid foundation for their success in life.
We must also have a heart for those who are serving in a capacity to reach those kids. Let us take a moment and pray for our kids ministry volunteers.
Let us pray that God would lead, guide, and direct them as they serve.
Let us pray that God would use them to lead many kids to Christ.
As GNC follows the school schedule, there are concerns with what we do once school lets out. Let us pray that God would give guidance to us about what to do during the summer.

Unity

As God moves in and through people, we must be sure that we are prayed up. If we are not, the devil will use these moments as opportunities to sneak in and sow seeds of doubt and dissension amongst our people.
Let us pray for unity amongst God’s people. Let us pray that we would move as one unit and seek the will of God in all decisions.
Ephesians 4:1–6 NKJV
1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:11–13 NKJV
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
