Standing Firm in the Storm

As we prepare our hearts for God's Word, I summon your senses and invite your intellect to the book of Job 13:15.

Job 13:15 KJV 1900

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: But I will maintain mine own ways before him.

In the land of Uz lived a man named Job, a man blameless and upright, who feared God and shunned evil.

He was blessed with great wealth, a loving family, and esteemed reputation among his peers.

Job's life was a testament to his faithfulness and dedication to the Almighty.

Yet one day, calamity struck like a fierce wind, shattering the peace and prosperity that surrounded Job.

In a rapid succession of tragedies, Job lost his livestock to raiders, his servants to violence, and his children to a devastating natural disaster.
