This really brings us to the heart of the matter, what is being righteous? Is it possible to be righteous and have enmity with God? Or to say can we be right with God and have division with Him? No, to be righteous is to be in God’s favor by saying what He says about sin, about thinking of someone as He does, it is loving the Lord Jesus and keeping His commands. It is loving the sinner but hating the sin, it is dispising sin in your own life and fleeing from it. If we are to be right and stay right with God, we must say no to the flesh, to sin, to the world, and all the temptations that come with that. To think we can be in Christ Jesus and in the world is foolishness. A child of God can not also be a friend of the world. We are to be a sanctified or separated people. SOMETIMES, THE ONLY BIBLE PEOPLE WILL EVER READ IS YOU! What is your life and relationship with the Lord saying?
