How do we JUDGE in the next life? What does this look like?

- Judging as governing/ruling/executing God’s just administrative governance of society… [as the early judges in Judges judged? They were more military leaders…]

- Judging as discerning right from wrong

- Judging as condemning, hypocritically…

Different views on our judging angels/people?

- Millennial kingdom: the apostles will be ruling over the 12 tribes of believing Jews, who will come to faith in the Tribulation (7yrs); WE will rule/judge the nations at this time, condemning the wicked and bringing justice in the land, as Jesus rules from Mt Zion/Olivet/Mt of Olives?

- Sharing his throne language in Dispen. Camp is only in Millennial Kingdom… the New Creation we don’t know much about?

In Amil, we reign with Christ now in heaven – and after the 2ndcoming for all eternity in the New World-Kingdom; the “Regeneration”, a Restored, Resurrected Cosmos…

1) Why Be Holy

a) You belong to a holy God v.19-20

God’s purchase of us

God’s incorporation of us in Christ

God’s indwelling of us in the HS

T.f. GLORIFY God in your body

b) You Are An Heir To a Holy kingdom v.1-3

We will judge the world + angels

We will be raised to glorious, imperishable life

Sin is UNBECOMING and UNFITTING for heirs, (crowned) princes and princesses of a HOLY Kingdom

c) Without holiness, you cannot enter God’s Kingdom v.9-10

Don’t be deceived.

Grace is not a cheap excuse for sin.

Without holiness NO one will see the Lord.

2) How to Be Holy

a) Be willing to suffer unjustly, while resolving conflicts with fellow believers v.7

b) Flee immorality v.18

c) Remember what’s happened to you (your salvation)

Why ought we to pursue holiness?

We belong to a holy God!

We are a temple of the holy God!

We are sanctified.

We are HOLY. So its BEING who we are, rather than living a contradiction.=

God commands it!

You are one spirit with the Lord Jesus.

You are an heir of the Father’s kingdom.

We cannot inherit the kingdom without holiness

We belong to God

We are a temple of the HS

We are members of Christ’s body
