Celebrating Life By Telling Others About His Life
Celebrating Life By Telling Others About His Life
Celebrating Life is simply remembering an important event (our new lives in Jesus Christ) and living is such a way as to honor that event. Celebrating Life by telling others about Jesus’s Life is a way we participate in His purpose of giving people Life (John 10:10). Sometimes people have called this activity as witnessing or testifying about Jesus’ Life. This bible lesson will be about the basics of telling others about Jesus.
1. What does Jesus say we will become, in Acts 1:8? _______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________
2. We are told by Jesus to do what in Matthew 28:19-20 ______________________________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________________
So we see we are to be witnesses with people we meet on a daily bases and make disciples, also known as Christ followers, to everyone everywhere. So the question is begged how do we do this? What are we to witness about and how do we make disciples?
3. First, what do we find first century Christ followers primarily witness about, that was spread all over the world, found in Colossians 1.6 ______________________________________________________________________________________
______________________________________________________________________________________
In first century the word “Good News” or the word gospel is just that, news that is good, and thus to be witness and spoken about. Good News is about two significant events which happened to Jesus and thus changed the lives of people and history forever.
4. What are the two most significant events which happened to Jesus, that changed people and history forever according to Romans 4:25(NLT or NCV)?
New Living Translation Chapter 4
25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God
New Century Version Chapter 4
25 Jesus was given to die for our sins, and he was raised from the dead to make us right with God.

These two events constituted what the Good News is, was shared with the world, changed people’s lives and changed history forever. This is indeed Good News!
5. Lets look at this Good News a little deeper. According to Romans 5:10 our friendship with God is restored by what? _______________________________________________________, while we were still His what? ____________________________________________________________. How can you be restored while still God’s enemy at the same time? (Discuss with mentor)
6. Continue to examine Romans 5:10 and answer the question by what will we certainly be saved through? __________________________________________________________________________
7. What does Peter say about how people receive salvation or being born again in 1 Peter 1:3? _____________________________________________________________________________________
The above is very important to understand. Because of Jesus’ resurrection people may have life. His resurrection presupposes there must have been a death because of sin. The resurrection of Jesus gives His death, history and the future its significance. This is why the writers of the New Testament, especially Paul, emphasis the resurrection above all as central to the Good News.
8. What does Paul in 2 Timothy 2:8 primarily say about the Good News he witnesses or tells people everywhere? _____________________________________________________________________________________
___________________________________________________________________________________
9. What were the apostle, which Jesus choose, to primary witness about, according to Acts 1:22 __________________________________________________________________________________?
With all the above understanding, what do you think the biblical Good News is and where do you think our witness should begin with those we meet?
10. Read Romans 1:1-4 when does Jesus become known as the Son of God? ___________________________________________________________________________________
Where do you think you should start when witnessing about Jesus? __________________________________________________________________________________
11. What does Paul say the power of God is in Romans 1:16?
__________________________________________________________________________________
What do you think happens when you talk about Jesus’ resurrection and death to people? (Discuss with your mentor)
12. Toward the end of Pauls ministry he is arrested and put on trial according to Acts. What does Paul say why he is on trial in Acts 24:21? _____________________________________________________________________________________
If we were arrested and put on trial as a Christ follower would our answer be close or similar to Paul’s answer above? Why or why not?
13. A secular Roman Governor named Festus introduced Paul to a King Agrippa concerning Paul’s trial. What does this secular Governor Festus say the accusations are about Paul, by the plaintiffs or the religious establishment found in Acts 25:17-20? ____________________________________________________________________________________

What would your friends, family, church people, or other people say about your testimony or witness? Would they say you are always talking about a dead man who came back to Life? Why or why not? (Discus with your mentor)
Finally, a simple way to witness or talk with others about Jesus. When people ask you how you are doing, simply respond with three words:
A. “I’m celebrating Life. (Luke 15:23-24)
From here just follow their lead. The Spirit will have them respond in many different ways. Your next response is the same as the Apostle Paul
B. “for me it’s about a dead man who came back to life! (Acts 25:19)
Follow their lead. Your next response is:
C. I met this dead man who came back to life and He gave me His Life and I have been celebrating Life ever sense. ( 2 Corinthians 5:15, 17)
Follow their lead
D. This dead man alive is Jesus Christ, He is life itself, God’s Son. Would you like to begin to celebrate His Life as well? (1John 1:2-3)
Life Prayer: Dear Jesus thank you that I may have your Life. Thank you that you died for my sins so that I may have your life through the resurrection. I believe in both your death and resurrection. I give you my old destructive and sinful life and ask You to bring your Life to live in me. In Jesus name Amen.
