John 3: 14-21 (vs. 17-18)

Introduction
'Can God really do it?' It's a question that often surfaces when we confront the tapestry of our past, woven with mistakes and missteps. seasons marked by regret, a period where the weight of our past seemed insurmountable. would make one question can God really save me.
When we look back over our lives, we find threads of imperfections, threads that might make us wonder whether God's grace is sufficient for us. There was a moment in the journey when we questioned if the stains of our past are too deep for divine cleansing. Yet, I’ve come today with good news – God is not confined by our failures.
I remember a time when I felt the burden of shame, convinced that my mistakes had disqualified me from God's mercy. But here's the beauty of our salvation – it's not about how deserving we are; it's about God's overwhelming love. It's a love that surpasses our shortcomings, a love that reaches into the depths of our brokenness, it’s a love that looks beyond our faults and see’s our need.
Sho’nuff, God is able, Yes God can Save....
In the text we ease drop on a conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus. Nicodemus, a Pharisee and a member of the Jewish ruling council, approached Jesus under the cover of night. Despite his status and knowledge of the Scriptures, Nicodemus had some doubts and questions about this radical teaching of Jesus. His encounter with Jesus in John 3 reveals the internal struggle and curiosity that Nicodemus was grappling with. Question like...
how could God save a person who is ratched, who is tore up from the floor up.
How can God know everything I’ve ever done and still want to have a relationship with me.
How God who is so perfect stoop down to my imperfection and make me perfect too.
Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor yes He can.
SAVE: The word save comes from the Greek word Sode’zo. This word literally means, to keep, to make safe, to rescue from danger and destruction.
in other words
Those who are in danger, fearing for their lives, on their way to hell with gasoline draws on…Jesus can SAVE
Those of us who are suffering, can’t get right, body diseased…Jesus can SAVE
Those of us who are GUILTY (You did it)…Jesus can save
Those of us who are chained to habits that we know we don’t need…GOD CAN SAVE
God Promised To Save
It’s an old promise: In the beginning when God made man in His image and man decided to sin against God. God made a promise to Eve in the garden Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
Revelation 13:8 Jesus was t“the Lamb who was slain.” before the foundations of the earth.
God has always been there saving folk
It’s an ongoing promise: Although his promises are older than humanity, they will stand until forever more.
It’s an open promise: Some of ya’ll are in exclusive clubs, there are fraternities and sororities, and the Masons and Eastern Stars. You can’t just come up in those clubs. But here is an open invitation.
Gods Power To Save
Power to call the sinner: It’s by his grace and mercy that he calls you anyway. When you are in sin, and you feel a urge or a tug from God. That’s his grace and mercy. He don’t have to call you. You better learn how to answer.
Power to convert the sinner : When God converts a sinner he does it completely.
All sin is immediately and completely forgiven: Psalm 103:12 “as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.”
The Sinner becomes a child of God I John 3:1-2 behold what manner of love the father has given unto, that we should become the sons of God.
The Sinner is delivered from sin
The Sinner become joint heirs with Jesus: We get adopted in the family
The Sinner Inherits a heavenly home
The sinner becomes a saint- when Jesus saves he saves forever.
