Sanctity of Life

Genesis 2:7 (NKJV)
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Formed is yaw-tsar, meaning to form as a master potter would, to fashion and form from the ground.
The MacArthur Bible Commentary A. Adam and Eve in Eden (2:4–25)

formed. Many of the words used in this account of the creation of man picture a master craftsman at work shaping a work of art to which he gives life (1 Cor. 15:45). This adds detail to the statement of fact in 1:27 (cf. Ps. 139:14, 15; 1 Tim. 2:13). Made from dirt, a man’s value is not in the physical components that form his body, but in the quality.

I’d add to this, its not just the quality but he had the breath of God blown into Him.
Adam had the life of God breathed into him and through he and Eve, life was passed down from generation to generation.
The moment a baby is conceived in its mothers womb, life is immediately passed into that child.
This is all done by as Vs. 7 says, “Lord God.”
God here is Elohim, the angels at times are called elohim. However here we see Him being called “Lord Elohim” as Lord here means Yehovah - self existent or eternal. Thus Self Existent, Eternal Elohim.
THIS IS THE GOD WHO MADE ADAM, This is the God that made YOU! This is the God that made each and every Baby. And how are they all made? Lets look at Psalm 139:13-16
Psalm 139:13–16 (NKJV)
13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
Psalm 139:16 NLT
16 You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
Formed here in vs 13 is a different word then what we saw in Genesis, it is kaw-naw. Kaw-naw means: To erect, create by extens.
Lowest Parts means womb

As you consider the human body, you realize that you are wonderfully made indeed. Did you know that your eyes can distinguish between eight million different colors, that your ears can hear between 300,000 and 400,000 different tones, that every day, your body produces one billion red blood cells? Truly, we are incredibly made.

We know that God created us for a relationship w/ Him. To accept his love of forgiveness and penalty for our sins.
We know He send Jesus to die for us, he was buried and came back to life.
We know that Jesus is in heaven now sitting at the right hand of God, preparing Heaven for us, interceding for us.
He has left us here to tell others about Him.
Look at Ephesians 2:10 with me.
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)
10 For we are His workmanship (denotes a work of art), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Workmanship denotes a work of art.
Its interesting:
When you were first made, like Adam you were formed, a work of art from the master-craftsman.
When you were saved, born again, you are a work of art by a master-craftsman again. Why?
He gave us new life, so to do good work for Him:
So we could enter a love relationship with the God of this universe.
Worship
Edifying
Equipping
Standing up for the unborn
Saved: You were fearfully and wonderfully made, you were fearfully and wonderfully saved. Do what He created and saved you to do. Love Him, worship Him, edify and equip other believers, stand for the unborn...
Unsaved: You were fearfully and wonderfully made, and God through Jesus, wants to fearfully and wonderfully save you form your sin.
Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:13 “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
