The weightiness of sin is lifted at the moment of confession. In Psalm 51, David models heartfelt sorrow for sin and in return God restores his salvation. The confessing church is one that is freed from the weight and guilt of sins.

Sin is the heaviest weight you lift daily
Sisyphus’ eternal punishment was pushing a large rock to the top of mountain forever.
The heaviest object known to man is...
David’s sins were to much to handle.
Sin is the heaviest weight you lift daily. So what shall we do about it?
Confessed sins are weightless because they’re forgiven.
Do you handle sins like David? He’s a confessor of it all. (Read Psalm 51:1-12).
Confession lifts your soul and then you will expedience forgiveness.

Relish the moments that went well and all of the gifts I have today.
Request the Spirit to lead me through my review of the day.
Review the day.
Repent of any mistakes or failures.
Resolve, in concrete ways, to live tomorrow well.
Forgiven baptized Christians are restored to enjoy God’s salvation when they confess daily. No sins weigh them down.
Your soul will thank you for your confession.
Confession of sins is possible because of the cross of Christ.
Now, we obediently die to self, and confess the weightiness of our sins to the One who loves us. He can handle them all!
Confess them to the Lord and to his church (James 5:16; 1 John 1:9).
You can dance with joy like David because your sins are forgiven.
Confess your sins to God and his salvation will renew you.
