LAYING ON OF HANDS.
Introduction.
Honor,Wife, Dimitry,Honor ,AV, honor all those serving.
Flow in gifts..
Good  ... .morning we in a series called BACK TO THE START- Looking at laying  foundations in our life for a victorious christian walk.
With this in mind please turn with me to Hebrews 6:1-3 ( Sheet 1).
Hebrews 6:1–3 (NKJV)
1 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 And this we will do if God permits.
Habakkuk 3:4 (NIV)
4His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden.
We are going to look at awesomeness and the power of laying on of hands, this biblical foundation, this biblical truth is extremely exciting. It is where the power gets released through you to a broken world and power gets released through you to touch and bless and empower people with the gospel.
The laying on of hands is the channel of releasing blessing.
This is the most misunderstood foundation stone, and the least practiced ordinance in the church.
But it has been part of the people of God from the beginning. Gen 48:8-20.
Laying on of hands is all about impartation.
Transferal of  the blessing of God .
You see family the church needs to be a place where the supernatural activity of God happens consistently and the moment people stop believing in and practicing the laying on hands we stop to seeing the supernatural happen before our eyes.
or we can say the more we pray in faith and lay hands on people, the more we will see the supernatural activity of God happen.
1.  WHAT IS THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?
2.  WHY? LAY HANDS ON PEOPLE
3.  WHAT IS MY ROLE IN THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?
WHAT IS THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?
The laying on of hands is a definite act in which one or more people place their hands physically on someone else's body for a specific spiritual reason.
2. WHY? LAY HANDS-ON PEOPLE.
The laying on of hands has been part of the life of God’s people since the very beginning and it remains foundational truth for the church today.
God has ordained and set in place the laying on of hands as a biblical pattern for the transmitting or imparting the following.
1.You Impart healing,
2.You Impart the Holy Spirit,
3.Elders, Impart/Activate  Spiritual gift,
4.Elders/5 Fold gift  Ordain or set people into office to          minister.
5.You Impart a blessing , .
1. You Impart healing.
Luk 4:40 …. everyone who had friends suffering from various diseases brought them to him. He placed his hands on each of them and cured them.
People came to Jesus in faith believing in the laying on of hands for them to be healed.
Mar 5:23 He begged Jesus, "My little daughter is dying. Come, lay your hands on her so that she may get well and live."
Mar 7:32 Some people brought to him a man who was deaf and who also had a speech defect. They begged Jesus to lay his hand on him.
Do we still come in faith and believe in healing by the laying on of hands? When will  ill?
Or are you still going in faith as Jesus instructed you to go lay hands on the sick
Mar 16:18 …….
. They will place their hands on the sick and cure them."
In Jesus church, He instructed believers in the church to call the Elders to come to pray for the sick to be healed.
Jas 5:14 If you are sick, call for the church leaders. Have them pray for you and anoint you with olive oil in the name of the Lord.
Who generally speaking can lay hands on people to heal the sick, any Spirit-filled believer can?
Are you stepping out in faith and laying hands on people in faith and love?
2. IMPART THE HOLY SPIRIT.
We lay hands on believers to receive the Holy Spirit once they are saved and we can lay hands on believers over and over for them to receive more of the Holy Spirit.
Act 9:17 Ananias left and entered Judas' house. After he placed his hands on Saul, Ananias said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way to Damascus, sent me to you. He wants you to see again and to be filled with the Holy Spirit."
Act 8:15  Peter and John went to Samaria and prayed that the Samaritans would receive the Holy Spirit.
Act 8:16  (Before this the Holy Spirit had not come to any of the Samaritans. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Act 8:17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and the Samaritans received the Holy Spirit.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
What do believers receive when hands are laid on them in faith. The Holy Spirit.
Who can lay hands on people to receive the Holy Spirit? Any Spirit-filled disciples.
How do you do this? Have faith and pray in faith for the person to receive the Holy Spirit.
The person you are praying for needs to believe they will receive the Holy Spirit.
Are you still believing in this?  Are you still seeking for more of the Holy Spirit.
Impart Spiritual gift.
2Ti 1:6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,
Adults are we seeking Elders, to lay hand on you to activate gifts in you?
Are you still seeking Elders to lay hands on your children to activate gifts in them?
Are you seeking your small group leader to lay hands on you?
If you are aware of your gifts? Are you seeking an Elder or a Deacon to lay hands on you and increase your anointing? To be more effective.
4. Ordain people into leadership in the church/set people apart / commission people.
Act 6:3  Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty.
Act 6:4  But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Act 6:5  And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch.
Act 6:6  These they set before the apostles, and they prayed and laid their hands on them.
Are you seeking an ELDER TO LAY HANDS ON YOU TO COMMISSION AND EMPOWER YOU IN YOUR MINISTRY?VOCATION CAREER.
WE NEED TO TRUST AND BELIEVE GOD ON THIS MATTER..
5. Impart a blessing- TO PEOPLE AROUND YOU.
Mar 10:14  But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
Mar 10:15 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”
Mar 10:16 And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
Luk 24:50  And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.
Luk 24:51  While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
The blessing means, to enact, or invoke favor on the person where people treat them kindly. Divine favor, divine blessing.
HOW DO WE DO THIS THIS,WE  SAY IN JESUS NAME I BLESS YOU! WITH THE LAYING ON OF HANDS.
3.   WHAT IS MY ROLE WHEN IT COMES TO THE LAYING ON OF HANDS?
·
