Triunity of Redemption
Triunity of Redemption
The Father sent, the Son went, the Spirit applies.
1 Corinthians 15:1–4 “1 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,”
Paul in his letter to the church in Corinth, after many chapters of rebuke and correction lands on the most important truth in human history, The fact of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection. We simply call it the Gospel, which means good news.
Today, I have good news to share with you, Christ is risen!
Before I can get to the glorious truth of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection I must deliver the bad news.

This is a unique texts in the NT, not because it quotes the old testament but because of the way it quotes the old testament. This passage cites over 7 OT texts and they have something very sobering in common. Mans universal depravity.
