Fight For Your Family

Nehemiah 4:14–16 “And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.” When our enemies heard that it was known to us and that God had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work. From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail. And the leaders stood behind the whole house of Judah,”
Fight for your family.
My weapons are not carnal but mighty through God to the.
I can be thoroughly equipped by knowing the word - 2 Tim 3:16
know it, speak it, surround them with it.

Each Did Their Part

Nehemiah 4:17–19 “who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were loaded in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and held his weapon with the other. And each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me. And I said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and widely spread, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another.”
We must work and war. The world isn’t getting easier.

Our God Will Fight For Us

Nehemiah 4:20 “And I said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, “The work is great and widely spread, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another. In the place where you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.””

Five Points I Take from This Portion Of Scripture

1. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is Great and Awesome. “He’s a Multi generational God”

Nehemiah wanted to see his people be restored.
Remember God. Share about Him often. He was Abraham’s, Isaac’s, and Jacob’ God. It takes a village.
Honor God and your people.
Grow your family strong to advance GODS Kingdom.

2. Each Did Their Part- each labored, worked, and was ready for battle.

Be aware of dangerous enemies and distractions.
Who is called to disciple your family? You are.
Learn to work and war - evolve and be more prepared. Stay focused under fire.

3. We must be convinced God will fight for our family and respond in kind.

The world mocks Christian values.
Sound and respond to the alarm. Retreat is not an option.
Stand on God’s Word
* Sound the alarm. Ask for help. Answer the call for help.

4. A House Divided Can't Stand

Mark 3:24–25 (ESV): 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.
I don’t worry about difficult times, as long as we have unity.
If there's a hole in your side of the boat, there still a hole in the boat. We have a problem.
If you win, I win. If I win, you win. If we win, the Kingdom advances.

5. There's Power in Unity.

Once can chase a thousand and two ten thousand.
A threefold cord is not easily broken
live within your means
Loyal to the Lord, His vision, and His people.
Altar call -
GOD is an awesome God
We have to fight for our family
Each has to do their part
A house divided won't stand
There's power in Unity.
Pray For Your Families:
Joshua 24:15 “And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.””
Prodigals come home.
Faithful stay faithful.
Old wounds be healed.
Generational curses stay broken.
