You see, at just the right time, when we were
still powerless, Christ died for the
ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a
righteous person, though for a good person
someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But
God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for
us.

The cross is not where Jesus changes God
but where Jesus reveals God.
On Good Friday Jesus does not save us from
God; Jesus reveals God as Savior!
On the cross…
• Our sins are forgiven
• We are redeemed
• We are reconciled to God
• God’s love is revealed
• We are set free from the fear of death

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (NIV)

you as of first importance: that
Christ died for our sins according to
the Scriptures, 4 that he was
buried, that he was raised on the
third day according to the
Scriptures,
Philippians 2:5-11 (NIV)
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
