In the second Image of Christ, we consider the Suffering Sacrifice. Here Christ is presented to us as the one who bore our physical suffering as we examine the wounds Christ received on our behalf. We also see Him as the one who must also bear the shame and humiliation of our sins through the rejection He endured. Finally, we see Him as the one who bears our sin and it's just debt, the death of the cross.
