This Sunday, we reflected on Palm Sunday which signifies Jesus' celebrated arrival in Jerusalem, known as the 'Triumphal Entry’. Jesus was riding on a donkey and was welcomed by Jewish crowds shouting 'Hosanna', a plea for salvation. They honoured him by laying their cloaks and palm branches before him. However, this celebration reveals a misunderstanding among the Jewish people about the type of salvation Jesus, their Messiah, would bring.
