Light Brings Truth To Light

During the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) there was a great ceremony called the "Illumination of the Temple," which involved the ritual lighting of four golden oil-fed lamps in the Court of Women. These lamps were huge menorahs/candelabras (seventy-five feet high) lighted in the Temple at night to remind the people of the pillar of fire that had guided Israel in their wilderness journey. All night long the light shone their brilliance, it is said, illuminating the entire city.
Now imagine the impact of these 2 verses
John 8:12–13 ESV
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” 13 So the Pharisees said to him, “You are bearing witness about yourself; your testimony is not true.”
Isaiah 9:2 “2 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.”
think about what light dose.
ah ha you testifying about yourself!
John 5:30–32 “30 “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me. 31 If I alone bear witness about myself, my testimony is not true. 32 There is another who bears witness about me, and I know that the testimony that he bears about me is true.”
John 8:14–16 ESV
14 Jesus answered, “Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going. 15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. 16 Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me.
John 5:43 “43 I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him.”
you judge me from the out side
I am not to Judging that leads to Judgment
But that is up to my Father
John 8:17–18 ESV
17 In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. 18 I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”
How dose the Father testify of the Son?
John 5:36 “36 But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me.”
Ill: I remember working night guarding and i heard a noise in a certain direction. when I looked chills went down my back as I looked ate a pair of eyes.
I quickly pulled out my flashlight to temporally blind the person or animal. but what i saw when the light turned on I saw that there was light cumming through the trees and how the branches were without light it looked like a person crouched in the tree but I saw the truth with my flashlight.
Tran: Seeing that Jesus brings the truth to light we see that Jesus is light.

Life

John 8:19–20 ESV
19 They said to him therefore, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” 20 These words he spoke in the treasury, as he taught in the temple; but no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
John 8:21–24 ESV
21 So he said to them again, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.” 22 So the Jews said, “Will he kill himself, since he says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?” 23 He said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”
Ill:
Without sunlight, plants would die, and eventually, all animals that rely on plants for food would die, too. However, some inventive humans might be able to survive on a Sun-less Earth for several days, months, or even years.
Lack of sunlight can cause chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and tuberculosis. When we don't get enough sunlight, our body doesn't create as much serotonin or vitamin D. Low serotonin levels can make us tired and lethargic, and vitamin D deficiency is also known to cause fatigue.

Hope

John 8:25–27 ESV
25 So they said to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been telling you from the beginning. 26 I have much to say about you and much to judge, but he who sent me is true, and I declare to the world what I have heard from him.” 27 They did not understand that he had been speaking to them about the Father.
John 8:28–30 ESV
28 So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me. 29 And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.” 30 As he was saying these things, many believed in him.
