Amos 5:25

English Standard Version Chapter 5

“Did you bring to me sacrifices and offerings during the forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

no.

Before you or I ever made a sacrifice, God loved us and chose to show us mercy

Romans 5:8 ESV

but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

So, whether it was 40 years before you offered obedience, or gratefulness or presented any sacrifice to God, he already loved you

God chose us not because we were good, but because he is good.

So, now let us present sacrifices to God
