Procession
We just during the children's moment had a procession that reenacted the day Jesus rode into Bethany this procession was the beginning of Jesus procession to the cross. Where he gave his life for all of us to have the opportunity to be forgiven of all our sins. In the dictionary it defines procession as moving in an orderly fashion as part of a ceremony. 21 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,

3 If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

11 The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” let this be a blessing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the peoples way of honoring Jesus. You know in the dictionary I found the second definitions for procession it said Emanation of the holy spirit. I know big word for me. But Emanation means an abstract but perceptible thing that originates from a source. That’s an educated way of saying its something you can not see but it is able to be understood and comes from a source such ad God. We can not see the holy spirit but we can feel it when it is among us. When it comes it is sent from God to help us in our work. No matter whether we are in trouble or in praise the Holy Spirit can work in us. This is another form of procession. Dont you think in the palm Sunday procession that the holy spirit was among the people, working in them? You see when we allow the holy spirit to be among us great things can happen. What about when we are in worship wheather in a crowd or alone do you think the Holy Spirit can work in us? Do not ever doubt we can be blessed anytime and any place by the Holy Spirit. Have you ever been alone listening to music and a song brings you understanding of something God has been trying to help you with, or what about when you have been alone in nature and all the sudden you see God in his creation. let’s never underestimate the power of a procession when the people lined the road to praise Jesus and honor him and just to get a glimpse of him. The Holy Spirit was allowing these people the experience of the messiah The one and only son of God. As we prepare for the resurrection of Jesus Christ let’s not close our hearts to what the Holy Spirit might do. Let us all experience the sorrow and the overwhelming Joy of this holy week. We as Christians need to remember that God sent his son to die for us, but also to offer us eternal life in heaven with him. So wipe away the tears of sorrow for the death of Jesus Christ and prepare your self to celebrate the the resurrection for us all to have eternal life with him in Gods kingdom. Where we can be counted in the final procession in God’s kingdom.
