1. When will I bless the Lord?
1. When will I bless the Lord?
always, but if my mouth doesn’t praise him, my heart isn’t really praising him. “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” (Lu. 6:45)
If your heart is full of Christ, your mouth will overflow with his praise. People, however, often spend their days praising everything else (the weather, the blossoms, their kids or grandkids, “their” sports teams, etc.). These are “less controversial” than the Lord who made all things, owns all people, and will cast millions into eternal fire. Yet how much more ought they hear the praise of the goodness of this dreadful judge!
2. How will I bless the Lord?
My soul will boast.
The proud will not be glad because they boast in themselves. Those who are proud of themselves do not worship Christ from the heart but can only do it in the body. (Ro. 4:1-5)
3. Who will bless the Lord with me?
the humble. Those who fear the LORD.
