Issues

Christianity in the NT world was thought dangerously irreligious. Message-driven rather than performance-driven.

Christianity by the time of Paul was cross-cultural, racially diverse, inclusive and growing.

Christianity taught the divinity and resurrection of Jesus.

Christianity did not compete with the Empire, It transcended and neutralized its power

John 18:36 ESV

36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
