26 and she said to him, “Pardon me, my lord. As surely as you live, I am the woman who stood here beside you praying to the Lord. 27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. 28 So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there

Step 1: Dedication doesn’t save you, it’s a commitment
Step 1: Dedication doesn’t save you, it’s a commitment
We dedicate this baby to the Lord. This isn’t a ritual that saves the kid, rather a dedication.
We recognize that children are a gift from God, and they are a blessing to us.
Step 2: Introducing the family
Step 2: Introducing the family
It is my great joy to introduce you to one of our church members Stella Alexandra and Emilia Jane and her parents.
The parents have come today to make a commitment before God and this church, to raise Benedicta in a way it honors God.
Step 3: Commitment from the church and the parents
Step 3: Commitment from the church and the parents
Parents: I will ask questions to the parents now.
- Are you dedicating your child to the protection and care of God?
- Do you commit yourselves to this privilege of directing your child towards God in a way she will trust Jesus, honor God, and to help others?
Church: Church has a responsibility before God as well. “It takes a whole village”.
- Are you ICA Kyiv, willing to support, help, and encourage the parents to raise this child in a godly way?
Step 4: Pray
Step 4: Pray
We thank you for this amazing gift, what a blessing she is to the lives of her parents.
We know that you love her, and we give her to you, knowing that you are a mighty God.
I also pray for the parents, knowing that You will guide them to raise their daughter in a godly way.
- It is a blessing and it is a challenge.
- Give them strength to honor you during this time.
- Bless them and their household.
