Exploring God’s Word: Numbers

To number (take a census of) the people of Israel, especially men over 20 who were able to fight

It is called “Numbers” because it reports the numbers of the census.

God’s presence with them should have made the difference. They were God’s people, chosen to carry His name.

He wanted to destroy them, but Moses interceded. Instead, He does not allow them to enter Canaan.
