Introduction

What do you do when God gives your enemies control over you?
Eddie Jaku, the self-proclaimed happiest man on earth. He was a Jewish citizen living in Germany during the time of the Jewish Holocaust. He spoke of the terrible experiences he and his family endured during these times. Their identity was changed and they were stripped of everything, including their material possessions. He recalled having everything taken from him but his belt. No one called him by name, but rather by a number provided by the Nazi government.
He spoke of a time where his mother was brutally attacked by a Gestapo officer who smashed her face with a phone, which completely shattered her cheekbone. The injury left her with permanent damage and visual proff of the offense that had overtaken her. He and other Jewish individuals were forced to lay in these bunkards, which included hundredes of people. The smell of human waste and death was one he would never forget. He witnessed the brutal attacks of dogs, Jews being shot down, and what he describes as the worse evil seen at any time in his life.
The question he continued to ask was “Why?” Why would all of these things befall a people who were just as proud to be German as they were Jewish?
Answer: God did not choose us to be comfortable, He chose us to be a light. And sometimes, being a light means being uncomfortable enough to proof God’s ability to deliver us from things we cannot deliver ourselves from.
