Jesus the perfect sacrifice

he bears our sins

he lived a sinless life

he dies in my place as a sacrifice and offering once and for all

Hebrews 2-

through death he destroys the power of death and the one who tries to use it

Jesus can’t be held by death

Jesus dies and is resurrected to show us what a life in him is meant to be like in a very literal sense

the one bearing sin dies, the one living in the spirit is raised, not held by the one who brings about death

the flesh is put to death and only the spirit is still alive
