Text: John 4:1-26

Context:
Author is John the beloved
Theme of John’s Gospel is that Jesus is the promised Messiah and Son of God. By believing in Jesus, people can have eternal life (cf. 20:30–31).
Before John chapter 4, there was chapter 3. What happened in Chapter 3?
*Jesus talking to Nicodemus at night
*You must be Born-Again
*The Gospel was preached to Nicodemus
*Jesus went into the Judean Country side
*The disciples asking Jesus about John the Baptist
*Ends with - 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

-Show them the historical Facts in Nablus in the West Bank.

4 Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John 2(although Jesus himself did not baptize, but only his disciples), 3 he left Judea and departed again for Galilee. 4 And he had to pass through Samaria. 5 So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6 Jacob’s well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour.
