Many of us have learned to use a GPS, Google Maps, Mapquest and other devices to assist us in navigating the roadways. However, before these helpful instruments we’re developed, we used what is known as a Road Atlas or simply a map. We fould plot our destination, and use the declination diagram to assist us in orienting the map (North, South, East, or West).
