Ephesians 6:10

1) What are all of the main ideas/concepts/points in this passage?  WHAT IS PAUL SAYING?  Paraphrase each verse or section in your own words.
Our enemy are not people
the real struggle, fight is not against one another
those outside the church don’t know it but their struggle is also against the authorities, and powers, spiritual forces --- should give us great compassion
move from mutual submission, now he talks about being strong, this is where you take your stand
spirtual forces of evil, the devil’s schemes, does not give us all the details, but we need to help people make sense of this
heavy lift for people in our context, build a bridge for people, wickedness is a product of people but there is more to it than that, don’t over spiritualize
maybe a stretch, submission and mutual submission, refusing to fight worldly battles in the worldly way, using the armor of God is an act of submission by taking off the worldy ways to protect and battle and putting on the armor of God
get verse 12 right and rest should fall into place
stand our ground, stand firm
pray in the spirit, prayer is an act of submission to the Lord
prayer is a key aspect of all this
you shall not pass kind of aspect here
Paul’s request to be fearless, writing from prison in Rome not knowing if this is the end for him or not
expectation that the body of Christ together is fighting the spiritual realm together, engaged not with the same weapons and armor as the world but engaging in but there is no other option
Christian nationalism is not the answer
we don’t fight the battles the world fights, we don’t use the weapons that world uses
political power,
