Hope for the Hopeless

The purpose of the texts

Luke writes his gospel for the purpose of showing salvation for all people

Matt and Mark write their gospel for the purpose of showing the fulfilled prophecy of the suffering messiah

But can the Holy Spirit embed a message that the writers could not see, but is avalable to us.

The nature of the theives

We call them theives but they were likely much worse criminals

When we read Luke we seem to think that one thief was a jerk and the other one was a thief with a heart of Gold

Matt and Mark both show us that both theives were jerks, they were both bad people.
