Easter Moment

In the beginning God created all things, and everything was good and right. But, man turned away from God and was cast out of His presence. In this way, sin came into the world and death through sin. So death spread to all men.
But God had a plan to save us from sin and death. Rich in mercy, because of His love for us, He sent his only son-- Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect life and though He never sinned, he became sin for us. He who should not have tasted death, drank the bitter cup of God’s wrath on our behalf.
He stood at a trial, and no one could find guilt in him, but still, they cried: “Crucify Him!” So they took Jesus, bearing his own cross, to Calvary’s hill. There they crucified him.
The moon and stars they wept The morning sun was dead The Savior of the world was fallen His body on the cross His blood poured out for us The weight of every curse upon Him
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Then he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. One final breath He gave As Heaven looked away The Son of God was laid in darkness A battle in the grave The war on death was waged The power of Hell forever broken
Toward the dawn of the first day of the week, the women went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, rolled back the stone and sat on it. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen...”
The ground began to shake The stone was rolled away His perfect love could not be overcome Now death where is your sting Our resurrected King Has rendered you defeated Forever, He is glorified Forever, He is lifted high Forever, He is risen He is alive He is alive
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for his glory
Come worship the one who has conquered the grave! SWITCH
The ground began to shake The stone was rolled away His perfect love could not be overcome Now death where is your sting Our resurrected King Has rendered you defeated Forever, He is glorified Forever, He is lifted high Forever, He is risen He is alive He is alive And the angels cry holy All creation cries holy You are lifted high holy Holy forever All the people sing holy To the King of Kings holy You will always be holy
