Acts 8:25-39

The overriding of the direction (vv. 25-30)

v. 25 - Started back to Jerusalem

v. 26 - an angel of the Lord spoke...

v. 27 -

he got ready and went

Ethiopian Eunich…had come to Jerusalem to worship

v. 29 - the Spirit said to Philip...

v. 30 - Philip ran up

The observation of the work (vv. 30- 35)

v. 30 -

heard him reading the prophet Isaiah

“Do you understand what you are reading?”

v. 31 -

“How could I , unless someone guides me”

he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

v. 32-35 -

(32-33) Isaiah 53:7-8

The obedience to the pattern (vv. 36-39)

v. 36 - “What prevents me from being baptized

v. 37 - [And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”]

v. 38 - “he baptized him”

v. 39 - “went on his way rejoicing”

Conclusion

John 11:21–27 “Martha then said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. “Even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?” She said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.””
