To do just what is needed? To only work for yourself.

Colossians 3:23 ESV

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,

Obeying Your Parents

So, how can you work / do your chores for the Lord?

Doing it to the best of your ability. Reflects your faith in Jesus,

Ephesians 6:1–2 ESV

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise),

Obeying the chores your parents tell you to-do is obedience to God.
